One of the best gadgets in Battlefield 6 is the Deploy Beacon, but it's not unlocked by default. Fans of the series may also be surprised to see the Deploy Beacon missing from the Recon kit, and that's because it's been moved to a completely different class in Battlefield 6.
Previously called the Spawn Beacon, the Deploy Beacon lets you create a spawn point for you and your squad anywhere on the map. You can use it to set up sniping spots that you can easily return to or create pressure on objectives with well-placed flanks. You'll have to complete a challenge to unlock the Deploy Beacon in Battlefield 6, but it's thankfully not too difficult.
Battlefield 6 Brings a 14-Year Tradition to an End, Making Its Beta Bittersweet
The early access period of Battlefield 6’s beta is live now, and it serves as a last hoorah for one class’s signature ability.
How to Get the Spawn Beacon in Battlefield 6
To unlock the Deploy Beacon in Battlefield 6, you have to complete the first Assault class challenge. You unlock class challenges after reaching Rank 20 in multiplayer. Hitting Rank 20 will take at least a few hours of XP grinding, but it's not too bad.
Once you reach Rank 20, you can start working on class challenges. The first Assault challenge requires you to earn 10,000 score and get 30 kills while using the Adrenaline Injector, one of the Assault class' signature items. There are other Assault challenges to complete after that, but you'll get the Deploy Beacon after completing this first step.
How to Use the Spawn Beacon in Battlefield 6
Battlefield 6 has made some pretty significant changes to this series staple, most notably moving it from Recon to Assault following feedback from the beta. The Deploy Beacon also has a limited number of uses now, and it'll self-destruct once the owner spawns on it. Instead of setting up sniping positions, it's now meant to give Assault players a way to benefit the team and apply pressure to objectives and key chokepoints.
The Deploy Beacon takes up a gadget slot, so you'll have to sacrifice a grenade launcher or other piece of equipment to carry it with you. It's easily one of the strongest Assault gadgets, however, so it'll likely have a permanent place in your loadout once you unlock it. If you use the Frontliner Training Path for your Battlefield 6 Assault loadout, it'll give your allies some extra buffs on top of everything else.
