Battlefield 6, the rumored title of the next game in EA's popular FPS series, is reportedly set to be unveiled on July 31, 2025. First confirmed in February, Battlefield 6 is in development at DICE, Motive Studios, Ripple Effect Studios, and Criterion Games, which together form the Battlefield Studios.

Being one of EA's flagship franchises, Battlefield and its commercial performance are very important for the American gaming giant. As a consequence, after the underwhelming response to Battlefield 2042, there is considerable pressure on the devs to turn things around this time with a new release. In a bid to secure this, EA announced Battlefield Labs earlier this year and ran closed tests for certain fans, allowing them to try out the upcoming chapter of the long-running shooter saga. Following rumors of an impending reveal taking place in the near future, a new development has narrowed down the date.

Battlefield 6 once promised to be a return to the series’ roots, yet it risks undermining its own vision by straying too close to 2042.

EA will officially showcase Battlefield 6's gameplay, developer interviews, and more on July 31, per Insider Gaming. While the media will be able to try out the game from July 29 itself, the public reveal will take place on the final day of the month. It was also revealed that the announcement would be made during an event inspired by Call of Duty: Next, which is an annual event for sharing the latest updates on the Call of Duty franchise. Interestingly, this reveal window falls in line with EA's past announcement where it promised a "Summer 2025" full reveal for the game. Moreover, the report also shared that this date was first mentioned by a Reddit user a few weeks ago, but it fell right through the cracks back then. About the recently leaked Battlefield 6 package sent to certain media people, the source revealed that it contained details of the aforementioned event and was meant to be opened on July 24.

Battlefield 6 to be Officially Revealed on July 31

As the in-development Battlefield project makes progress, things have been heating up, leading to a slew of official and unofficial information coming out in the past several weeks. Earlier in July, a leaked clip surfaced online that confirmed the presence of a battle royale mode in the new game. Around the same time, some other key highlights about the new Battlefield game also emerged in an interview with former EA staff.

Out of all these reports, one that has certainly fueled excitement among fans is the leak hinting at a possible Battlefield 6 public beta being announced soon. If this particular leak carries any weight, fans can expect to learn more about any such beta period on the day of the rumored Battlefield 6 event.
