The latest chapter in this long-running franchise is expected to have a massive launch thanks to all the positive momentum the game has achieved over the past few months. Alongside the returning Portal and multiplayer modes, Battlefield 6 also has brought back the campaign experience as well. Battlefield 6's open beta hit massive player numbers and, with tons of improvements and fan-favorite features making their return, the game may be in line for one of the franchise's biggest launches ever. However, the game's launch is just the beginning, as a new post reveals how the game has changed since the open beta tests.

Battlefield 6 Previews Day One Update and Other Changes

In a new community update, Battlefield Studios is giving players a look at how the Battlefield 6 Open Beta and Labs sessions helped shape the game for launch. In addition to giving the studios access to tons of data and player behaviors, Battlefield 6's launch menu and available playlists will be shaped based on player feedback. Conquest, Escalation, and Breakthrough will have their own dedicated playlists, but Battlefield 6 will also feature combined playlists to help players stay in queue rather than having to back out. Custom Search and Server Browser are also available to help find something specific.

The post also highlighted Battlefield 6's Season 1 roadmap once more, before transitioning to the launch day patch, which the update indicated will have over 200 bug fixes, balance improvements, and quality of life enhancements. The full patch notes will be available closer to launch, but for now, the blog gave a sneak peek including an improved UI and HUD, netcode adjustments, a rebalanced recoil for automatic weapons, a more responsive movement system, and more.

analysts predict battlefield 6 copies sold first week

As expected, there's been no shortage of comparisons between Battlefield 6 and the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. These two franchises have faced off against one another numerous times in the past and with Black Ops 7 holding its own open beta, fans couldn't help but compare the player numbers. Battlefield 6 managed to pull substantially more players in the first few days than Black Ops 7 was able to do in the first few days, leading many to believe Battlefield could be in a much stronger position to succeed.
