Six new game modes could be coming to Battlefield 6 in the near future, as a new datamine uncovers the names of some yet-to-be-revealed additions. Battlefield 6 launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 10, with plenty of new and returning game modes, such as Conquest, Breakthrough, Escalation, King of the Hill, and many more. However, it seems DICE already has ambitious plans for new game modes coming in the future.
Alongside some classic Battlefield modes, Battlefield 6 also saw the return of Portal, a popular sandbox mode that allows players to create their own maps and game modes with their own custom rulesets and settings. While Portal has featured in previous entries, such as Battlefield 2042, DICE has made some major improvements that make the mode better than ever. More tools, persistent servers, and the upcoming ability to build on a blank canvas all allow for far more creative freedom than the mode has ever offered before.

New Battlefield 6 Game Modes Have Been Leaked
Battlefield 6 already has an array of game modes to cater to all types of players. Those who may have come from a Call of Duty background will enjoy the CQB playlists, which feature smaller-scale battles with modes such as King of the Hill, Domination, and Team Deathmatch. While Battlefield veterans can still jump into the likes of Conquest, Breakthrough, and more. However, those looking for even more variety could be in luck, as a new leak from Insider Gaming suggests 6 new game modes are on the way: Raid, Payload, Sabotage, Squad Shootout, Strikepoint, and Tank Hunt.
While the majority of these game modes have yet to be revealed by EA or DICE, it has been confirmed that Strikepoint and Sabotage will be released as part of Battlefield 6's Season 1 update. The season will be divided into three separate content updates, with the first arriving on October 28 with a new map, known as Blackwell Fields, the addition of Strikepoint, three new weapons, and more. The second update will arrive on November 18, featuring a new map, Sabotage (a limited-time game mode), a new attachment, and three new weapons. The third and final update of the season will arrive on December 9 with a winter-themed map, a limited-time event, and a new melee weapon.
DICE is clearly working hard to bring fans plenty of new content in the coming weeks, but the studio is also currently addressing some of the game's most severe issues. A recent Battlefield 6 update finally seems to have fixed the shooter's hit registration issue, which was resulting in frustration among players as bullets were seemingly hitting enemies but not causing damage. DICE says the problem should now be resolved thanks to a backend update on October 15.
