If a recent leak is to be believed, it appears as though the upcoming Battlefield 6 will feature 15 multiplayer maps - 11 new maps and four remastered ones. Even though Battlefield 2042 released to a lackluster response, there is significant hype behind Battlefield 6. The initial reveal trailer for the game has given fans confidence that Battlefield 6 is returning the long-running first-person shooter franchise to its glory days, with many eagerly anticipating the BF6 multiplayer reveal on July 31.

Ahead of the official reveal, footage of Battlefield 6 multiplayer has leaked online, only serving to make fans even more excited about the game. In fact, Battlefield 6's reveal trailer earned more likes than competitor Black Ops 7's reveal trailer in just one hour, and it took no time at all to amass over 500,000 Steam wishlists. If EA and DICE play their cards right, Battlefield 6 could be one of 2025's biggest hits.

Battlefield 6 will also go down as one of the year's worst-kept secrets. Battlefield 6 leaks have been coming seemingly nonstop, with the latest claiming to reveal the game's multiplayer maps and campaign missions. Some of the names appear to be placeholders, and so fans should take this information with a massive grain of salt. It originates from a datamine reported on by The Game Post.

Assuming these leaks are accurate, one has to wonder how much of this content will be available in Battlefield 6 at launch and how much will come at a later date. For example, it's largely believed that the Battlefield 6 battle royale mode won't be in the game at launch, which would presumably rule out the leaked "Granite" map for release. That in turn opens the door for some of these other maps to come at a later date, but we really won't know for sure until EA decides to share more information.

The good news is that the wait for more Battlefield 6 info is nearly at an end. Battlefield 6 will have a big multiplayer reveal on July 31, where it will reveal all kinds of details about the new game.
