Excitement continues to build in advance of the Battlefield 6 open beta test this weekend, as players are queuing up online in shocking numbers. The reveal of Battlefield 6 marked a high point for EA and the numerous development studios working on the upcoming game, as the multiplayer trailers and gameplay have seemingly caused quite a stir with players.
Fans got all sorts of new details and information thanks to EA's recent Battlefield 6 Multiplayer event, which showcased footage of the game in action, and confirmed many of the features and modes players can expect at launch. The event also revealed upcoming beta sessions for Battlefield 6, allowing players to go hands-on with the game for the first time ahead of launch. Interestingly enough, the announcement has seemingly ignited the community into action as a major number of players have already started to queue up for the open beta days before it is set to release to everyone.
Battlefield 6 Confirms Controversial Feature
EA developers confirm that a controversial feature that has popped up in other shooters will also be in Battlefield 6 when it releases in September.
Battlefield 6 Players Are Queuing Up In Massive Numbers
Ahead of the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, players are logging into the game much earlier than anticipated. While Battlefield 6 recently hit a major player milestone within 24 hours of the Open Beta being available to download, those numbers have continued to skyrocket as the date approaches. While players can technically log in and tweak settings, the game's servers remain off, meaning it isn't playable. Even knowing that fact, players have continued to queue up for some reason. Redditors like sossigsandwich posted a screenshot showing that they were 260 in line earlier on August 6, still a day before Early Access was set to kick off.
However, just a few hours later, those queue numbers exploded even more as another Reddit post from user Icy-Success-69 revealed a screenshot of their position in line at a staggering 48,100. Comments on both posts were largely surprised at why that many people continue to try and access a beta session which only opens on August 7 for Early Access Battlefield 6 players. It isn't until August 9 when the Battlefield 6 Open Beta launches for everyone.
Battlefield 6 looks to be in line for a very strong launch thanks to what appears to be a renewed focus on the core elements that longtime fans have come to expect from the franchise. Battlefield Studios have already shown off an impressive level of environmental destruction on their maps, bringing back the traditional Battlefield class system, while also seemingly being inspired by fan-favorite entries in the series. Either way, it appears fans are just as excited about this latest game in the popular franchise.
