Battlefield 6 announces an updated set of its PC system requirements, confirming that players will need at least a 3060Ti and an i7-10700 for an optimal in-game experience. After a hiatus of nearly four years, Battlefield 6 is set to mark the return of EA's highly popular military shooter series on October 10.
Over the past several weeks, the hype has been consistently growing, thanks to Battlefield 6's record-shattering open beta. Judging by the reception so far, it appears that EA might not just successfully move on from Battlefield 2042's disappointing performance but also effectively restore the IP back to its former glory. The zeitgeist surrounding the new Battlefield game is so positive that certain fans also think that the franchise may seriously compete with Call of Duty this year. Amid such strong excitement, the devs have now shared the system specs PC gamers will need to be ready to dive into the upcoming game.

Battlefield 6 may be doing a lot right, but one particular feature risks treading the same uncomfortable territory as an even bigger FPS franchise.
Battlefield 6 PC System Requirements Announced
Battlefield 6 officially shared the PC configuration needed to run the game on different presets. Those aiming for the smoothest experience, at 4K 60 FPS (on ultra settings) or 1440p 144 FPS (on high settings), must have a combo of RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX and Core i9-12900k or Ryzen 7 7800X3D, along with 32GB RAM. For those looking for an optimal experience without necessarily maxing out everything, a GPU-CPU pairing of RTX 3060Ti or RX 6700 XT and Core i7-10700 or Ryzen 7 3700X is recommended, together with 16GB RAM. Moreover, at the bare minimum, players must have RTX 2060 or RX 5600 XT and Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600, with 16GB RAM, for running Battlefield 6 on PC.
While mostly identical to the system requirements announced at the time of Battlefield 6's open beta, this time EA has notably fleshed out the required specs even more to incorporate the "Ultra" preset for PC gaming enthusiasts. What this means is that players who were able to run the game's beta should get a similar performance in the full game, too. Additionally, they now also know the hardware upgrades their system will need to squeeze out the best performance out of the much-anticipated FPS.
With just over a month to go for launch, Battlefield 6's momentum is reaching impressive heights. Recently, this surge in player interest manifested in the form of its predecessor overtaking Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone in terms of Steam engagement. For what it's worth, this instance could be used as a measure of the level of traction Battlefield 6 may gain upon its release.
