Just one day before the launch of Battlefield 6, EA has revealed that those on PlayStation 5 can receive up to an additional 15% XP increase per match if they are in a party with two or more PlayStation Plus subscribers. There doesn't appear to be a similar benefit for Battlefield 6 players on Xbox Series X/S or PC, meaning PlayStation 5 users will have a huge advantage when it comes to levelling up in Multiplayer.

Battlefield 6 is officially less than 24 hours away from release, and fans can't wait to jump back into the shooter after a record-breaking beta earlier in the year. The Battlefield community was eager to see what EA and DICE had in store for them after the controversial launch of Battlefield 2042 in 2021. Thankfully, it looks like the two studios have managed to win back the hearts of players, as the Battlefield 6 beta broke records for the franchise, even accumulating a higher peak concurrent player count on Steam than the Call of Duty HQ app. Shortly after the beta began, Battlefield 6 pulled in over half a million players on the platform.

Battlefield 6 aims to go back to the franchise's roots, and thanks to this one feature, the return to form is made quite clear.

Battlefield Players Can Get Extra XP on PS5

With reviews for Battlefield 6 hot off the press, new details surrounding the next entry in the franchise are beginning to make their way online. One feature recently highlighted by CharlieIntel is that PlayStation 5 users will have a significant advantage when it comes to leveling up. As shown in the image below, simply owning Battlefield 6 on PlayStation 5 will grant an additional 5% XP increase per match, while joining a party will activate another 5% increase. Finally, those who join a party with two or more PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a third 5% XP increase, allowing players to gain an additional 15% of XP per match if all three requirements are met.

This benefit appears to have sparked anger among gamers, as the responses have been mixed. One user referred to the feature as "pay to win," while another said they are "tired of the console exclusives." Unfortunately, this shouldn't come as much of a surprise, as the Battlefield 6 open beta also had PS5 benefits. During the playtest, anybody who was subscribed to PlayStation Plus received double XP and an exclusive skin, which will be available to use in-game at launch.

It's not quite the same as an XP boost, but players can also get their hands on additional Battlefield 6 rewards via Twitch Drops. During the first week of the game's launch, players who link their EA and Twitch accounts have the chance to earn in-game rewards for free. Watching one hour of a Battlefield 6 stream with drops enabled will earn a Dog Tag, two hours will grant a Weapon Package, and three hours will reward players with a Vehicle Skin. There is also a Soldier Skin up for grabs, but it requires players to subscribe or gift a subscription on Twitch.
