A Battlefield 6 player has shared a useful tip with fellow fans that seemingly reduces bullet spread, or weapon bloom, when firing the first few shots of a weapon. Weapon bloom has been a widespread issue in Battlefield 6 since its launch earlier this month, and while DICE has attempted to tone down the mechanic with various backend updates, it still appears to be a prevalent issue for many players.
Reviews for Battlefield 6 have been largely positive, but the game's launch hasn't been without its issues. Alongside slow progression and XP farms, one thing players have been campaigning for is a reduction in bullet spread. For those who might be unaware, weapon bloom is a mechanic that aims to add an extra layer of realism by reducing the accuracy of some shots. This isn't a new feature, as it has been present in numerous other Battlefield titles, but fans believe the bloom is erratic and needs to be toned down.

Battlefield 6 Tip Reduces Weapon Bloom
Thankfully, DICE has acknowledged the requests from fans and noted that there was a bug affecting weapon bloom in Battlefield 6, which has since been rectified. Unfortunately, fans are still struggling with the mechanic and are continuing to call for additional adjustments. To help players out, content creator Ottr has shared a tip with fans on Twitter, which should significantly reduce weapon bloom. In the clip, which can be seen below, Ottr demonstrates that firing before the aim-down-sight animation has completed will result in the first few shots being massively inaccurate. He then shows how accurate the bullet spread is when allowing the animation to finish, and there's a clear night-and-day difference.
This is a useful tip to know, but many are eager to see weapon bloom reduced by DICE to avoid having to worry about tips such as these. Thankfully, the studio recently confirmed that more changes are on the way as part of Battlefield 6's Season 1 update. According to the studio, the game's October 28 patch will include several adjustments to how weapon dispersion behaves. DICE says the new changes are aimed at ensuring each weapon's accuracy better reflects its intended performance over range. Season 1 will also fix a bug that caused weapon dispersion to not decrease as expected when transitioning from sprinting to prone.
It's currently unconfirmed, but rumors continue to mount that EA and DICE are planning to shadow-drop the highly anticipated Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6 alongside the game's Season 1 update next week. Insiders such as ModernWarzone had already claimed that the mode would drop on October 28, but now a recent data mine has uncovered evidence of a mysterious content update that is separate from Season 1, but supposedly set to arrive on the very same day.
