After its huge launch, Battlefield 6 appeared as the best-selling game in the United Kingdom’s physical games charts. The title was followed by the popular EA Sports FC 26 in the second spot, and by another recent release, Ghost of Yotei, in third. Other games to appear in the Top 10 were Mario Kart World, Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, Little Nightmares 3, Minecraft, Donkey Kong Bonanza, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Grand Theft Auto 5, respectively. According to information from the charts, 82% of the copies were sold for the PlayStation 5 version of the game.

It’s not surprising to see Battlefield 6 doing so well, considering how popular the game was on Steam. Reports indicated that Battlefield 6 made over $100 million from Steam alone on its release day, and its console numbers were likely very high, too.

Soon after release, Battlefield 6 peaked at 747,440 simultaneous players on Steam. While the title did not top these high initial numbers during the weekend, it’s still quite popular, with over 435,000 gamers playing it on the platform at the time of this report.

Unfortunately, not everything about the Battlefield 6 launch was entirely positive, as some gamers faced long queues to play, as well as problems with the EA App. Battlefield 6 also currently has a problem with cheaters, as multiple fans have spotted others using hacks and cheats such as aim-assist software within mere days of the launch. Hopefully, these problems will be addressed by the developers soon, offering a fairer experience for gamers who love Battlefield 6.
