Explosive Battlefield 6 Trailer Reveals Season 1 Maps, Modes, and Weapons
The new Season 1 trailer kicks off by showing footage of Blackwell Fields, the first new Battlefield 6 map arriving in Rogue Ops on October 28. The map seems to take a very vehicle-heavy approach, with tons of open space for players to engage in vehicle combat. Despite not arriving until California Resistance releases on November 18, the Eastwood map also makes an appearance in the new trailer. This seems to focus a little more on suburban combat, with fighting taking place in streets and throughout homes. Despite this, there still seems to be plenty of vehicle gameplay on Eastwood.
The reveal also touts two new Battlefield 6 game modes for Season 1, the first of which is Strikepoint. This 4v4 game mode is one-life-per-round, a huge change of pace from the typical Battlefield 6 experience. Strikepoint releases in the first wave of content on October 28. Then, there's Sabotage, an 8v8 game mode coming with California Resistance, in which players must destroy scattered equipment boxes around the map. There's even some new weapons for players to use, including the SOR-300C Carbine, the Mini Fix Sniper Rifle, and the GGH-22 Sidearm.
Beyond new content, Battlefield Studios has been hard at work on smaller tweaks to improve the Battlefield 6 experience. Just recently, the developer nerfed Battlefield 6 XP bot farming, with further changes on the way to progression to ensure it becomes more rewarding for players. Expect these types of small changes to continue, even as Battlefield 6 Season 1 launches on October 28.
