Battlefield 6 has made a complete about-face from 2021's controversial Battlefield 2042. Returning to the more grounded tone of previous entries and continuing the franchise's modern warfare premise, Battlefield 6 has been praised for its strong team-based mechanics, map design, destructible environments, and unique gear, among other things, which have helped it snag the title of 2025's best-selling shooter game.

Battlefield 6's live-service model still has to prove itself, though. Season 1 has already rolled out, headlined by the RedSec battle royale mode, and also includes a host of new maps, weapons, and a dedicated battle pass. As is typically the case with live-service games, not everyone has loved Season 1 thus far, but many remain cautiously optimistic about the future. And some, including dataminers, have started further looking ahead, digging up whatever they can about Season 2.

Battlefield 6 Season 2 Leaks

Dataminer temporyal, who has been a consistently notable member of the Battlefield datamining community for several years, recently shared their findings. The dataminer found references to a handful of guns, gadgets, and vehicles in Battlefield 6's game files, though none of this should be taken as confirmation of any upcoming content drops. Even temporyal notes that "there is no guarantee that [the content] will make it into the game." At any rate, here are the conclusions they drew from their data excavation:

Weapons

Gadgets

Vehicles

MG5 LMG

GL40 STKY - Sticky Grenade Launcher

AH-6 Little Bird Helicopter

CZ Bren 2 Assault Rifle

M320A1 AT - Anti-Vehicle Grenade Launcher

Jetski

CZ Scorpion Evo 3 Carbine

RGO - Impact Grenade

Scorpion VZ 61 SMG

Furthermore temporyal stated that only the MG5 light machine gun has been flagged specifically for Season 2; the other guns might arrive in later seasons, if at all. Also, most Battlefield guns, while based on real-world weapons, have fictional names in-game. So if and when weapons like the Bren and Scorpio Evo come to Battlefield 6, they will likely be under different monikers.

Some players have pointed out the prevalence of Czech weapons in this leak, prompting speculation that Battlefield 6 Season 2 could focus on the Czech Republic or Eastern Europe more broadly.

According to temporyal, the AH-6 Little Bird will feature two loadouts, one with a minigun as the main weapon and another with non-guided missiles. The chopper will also apparently have flares, a motion sensor, and thermal smoke. Passengers can use a thermal scanner and a directional jammer. There's not much information available about the possible jetski vehicle class, though temporyal claims that it will be arriving in Season 3, not Season 2. The Little Bird has been flagged as a Season 2 arrival.

As for the gadgets, they are fairly consistent with much of the current offensive gear offered in Battlefield 6. Worth noting is that both the GL40 STKY and M320A1 are described as able to "be carried standalone or underslung," meaning that they can be attached to the underbarrel of certain weapons. The RGO impact grenade is essentially a less-powerful frag grenade that explodes immediately upon making contact with a target, rather than after a set period of time.

These leaks join others regarding upcoming Battlefield 6 game modes, forming a more complete, albeit speculative, image of the game's future. Just a few days after Battlefield 6's October 10 launch, Insider Gaming found references to six game modes not yet released for the competitive shooter: Raid, Payload, Sabotage, Squad Shootout, Strikepoint, and TankHut. Strikepoint and Sabotage have already joined Battlefield 6, and while these earlier leaks don't shed light on the release window for the others, they may launch in Season 2 or Season 3 as well, alongside temporyal's findings.
