Battlefield 6 releases a quick hot fix to address recent issues surrounding hit registration and bullets that don't appear to cause any damage, even after impacting an enemy. Even after a strong launch window, EA continues to work on Battlefield 6, taking player feedback and addressing frustrating bugs still impacting the game.
Backend fixes are a common practice for online multiplayer games, especially when it comes to making quick adjustments. Rather than waiting for a big update, studios are able to make tweaks instantly to the game, something which Battlefield 6 did earlier this week. A recent hotfix when live for Battlefield 6 on October 13, changing muzzle velocity on a pair of sniper rifles, while also increasing the overall ticket count for some Rush maps. This morning, EA released another hotfix, addressing an important problem with the game.

Battlefield 6 Hotfix Adjusts HIt Registration Issues
A new hotfix has been released for Battlefield 6, as EA and its development studios address recent concerns over instances where bullets are not actually registering damage. Dubbed "Ghost Bullets" by the community, the shots appear to land and cause blood splatters, but the enemy player doesn't lose any health. As it turns out, the Battlefield 6 hit registration issue stemmed from a combination of certain weapons and attachments being used together, though details on which ones were not provided, unfortunately.
Discussions over Battlefield 6's weapon bloom and hit registration have been a hot topic as of late, and with recent discussions from members of the community as well as developers, it seems more tweaks are on the way. Players have assumed the bugged weapon bloom issue from the Battlefield 6 betas wasn't fixed, a theory which has since been shot down by principal game designer Florian le Bihan who noted there are two new issues impacting the dispersion and that the original problem was indeed fixed.
Recently, one player also noticed some strange interactions between Battlefield 6 sniper rifles and hit registration, quickly indicating it may be more of a nerf than an actual bug. Posting a short video of the discovery, streamer StodehTV found that when using any class but recon, sniper rifles will miss their target slightly more often. Response to this has been mixed, with some saying it needs to be fixed while others say this is how it should be, as the Recon class is supposed to be more proficient with sniper rifles.
