Unusual Findings is a point-and-click adventure game that is made to be a love letter to the 1980s. The story centers around three friends, who accidentally pick up the distress signal of an alien ship that crash-landed near their town, and get tangled in a web of conspiracies and secrets.
There are many people who are going to instantly pick up the game and master its more precise mechanics and quirks. However, there are also people who may not be so good at point and click games, and thus need some beginner tips before they can get started on the game.
6 Choices Are Important
Although the game Unusual Findings is a point and click adventure game, it is very much worth noting that there are multiple choices that a player can make. These choices are going to be much more important than a player realizes at first.
Depending on what choices a player will make, there will be huge variants in how the game plays out for them. On top of this, a player will also be able to unlock certain achievements, depending on what they decided to choose during a particular section - however, it is up to the player to figure out which choices will gain what achievement.
5 Remember There Are Three Endings
Similarly to how a player must remember that there are all sorts of choices that will affect how the story plays out, they must remember that there are also three endings to the game as well. These are ending A, ending B, and ending C.
The choices that a player makes will be what determines what kind of ending they get. Similarly to how a player will get different endings based on the choices they make, they will actually be able to experience three different final chapters depending on their choices! This is mainly to lead into the ending that they got, of course, as different endings will have different build-ups.
As such, this final chapter will be one of the quickest ways for a player to figure out what ending they are going to get. After all, there is a pretty good chance that a player is not going to get ending B if they end up getting the chapter that usually correlates with, for example, ending A.
2 The Puzzles Are Not Too Difficult
Although there may be some parts where a player gets stuck along the way, it is actually worth noting that the puzzles are not too difficult. Yes, they are not easy enough that a player can solve them without really knowing what they are doing, but they are in just the right spot of being challenging without being unfair.
With a bit of fidgeting around (and, admittedly, some trial and error), a player will soon be able to figure out the puzzle that is bothering them. It may take a little bit of writing down codes and numbers, but it does not require a walkthrough to solve them.

Dialogue is going to be a huge way of a player figuring out just what a player has to do when they need to solve puzzles. There will be subtle cues in the dialogue for certain puzzles, and as such a player will have to make sure they are always paying attention to look for clues.
The game Unusual Findings is not really great when it comes to alerting the player as to what dialogue can be used as a hint for a puzzle and what is not. As such, the onus is on the player to pick up on the cues.
