Final Fantasy is one of the most recognizable RPG series in the world, one revered by fans who have been with it from the beginning and those who arrived at any point during its decades in the gaming medium. The point of any RPG is to get stronger through leveling up and by acquiring rare gear. By the end of most Final Fantasy games, in particular, players can feel pretty strong.

Final Fantasy: 7 Mysterious Gameplay Secrets That Are Hard To Trigger

These gameplay secrets in the Final Fantasy series are extremely difficult to trigger, making them almost entirely unknown to many players.

While gods play a part in many of the franchise’s stories, not many Final Fantasy titles can make players feel like they have that true godlike power. Let’s explore some of the games in the Final Fantasy series where fans can feel that surge of strength that only a god knows. These games will be ranked based on how true to form these “godlike” powers are.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was designed within the U.S. With that Western market in mind, and funnily enough, it was called Final Fantasy USA: Mystic Quest in Japan. Players are a fairly ordinary warrior, Benjamin, whose party members come in and out as the story progresses.

Benjamin is not a god, but the game is fairly easy and gives players a feeling of accomplishment and a boost in confidence by getting through a storied Final Fantasy game. Final Fantasy Mystic Quest is as good a game as any to start with in the series.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a rhythm game made first as a tribute to Final Fantasy music, but it’s also an RPG. As players progress through songs, they will fight monsters in the background, which is not a challenging task.

6 Strongest Parties In Final Fantasy Games, Ranked

If the parties of every Final Fantasy game faced off, who would emerge the strongest? The jury is out, but these parties would certainly be in the mix

Players can fill out their party with powerful mega stars from across the series, like Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 and Tidus from Final Fantasy 10. With strong characters attacking monsters set to epic music, players can certainly feel like a maestro and perhaps even a little godlike, too.

Final Fantasy Tactics can give players the feeling of getting through an epic game of chess as they pass their pawns around big battlefields. These pawns can be generic or story characters, so that game doesn’t quite fit the bill of a true godlike game.

Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings is a better example, as it is an RTS. Big characters, like Vaan, can be controlled, but the game is more focused on players summoning countless monsters without any regard for their safety. Creation is right up there with other well-known godlike powers.

Crystal Defenders is an even better example than Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings because it is purely focused on gameplay rather than a gripping narrative. It’s one of the more forgotten games in the series, and was released on mobile phones and digital stores like the Xbox 360's.

It’s a tower defense game where players can summon generic Job-based characters to defend the line from oncoming monsters. The art style looks like it was ripped out of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. It’s not the most complex game in the series, but it will certainly give off vibes of being an all-knowing puppet master.

Lightning, who was the main character from Final Fantasy 13, reached a level of literal godhood in Final Fantasy 13-2. However, she became trapped in an endless loop at the game’s start, and it was up to her sister, Serah, to save her.

After that game’s incident, Lightning reached another level of power in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13. With the help of players, she had to reset time to prevent it from caving in on itself. She’s strong, confident, and has powers beyond most characters in the franchise in this solo adventure.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a reimagining of the first game in the series built around a Soulslike style of gameplay. However, it’s one of the easier Soulslikes to get into, and the key player, Jack, is both strong and aggressive in his war against Chaos, similar to Kratos’ war against the Greek gods in God of War.

Other developers outside of Square Enix have had a hand at various Final Fantasy games, and the following are some of the best examples of it.

Defeating monsters will turn them into giant crystal clusters that players can break, and it’s always satisfying to do so. Jack has a large roster of Jobs to master in Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin and his powers are anything but normal for the franchise.

The ultimate godlike game in this franchise can be experienced in Final Fantasy 16 through its hero, Clive. He, is a Dominant of the Eikon Ifrit, meaning he can summon Ifrit’s powers in battle, from fireballs to sword strikes, and in certain boss battles, he can turn into Ifrit as well.

These boss battles are some of the most epic fights in the series. Also, Clive can steal Eikon powers from other Dominants to get even stronger, which is the icing on the cake. There’s no question that players will feel powerful when they take control of Clive.
