Battlefield 6
Bringing A New Level Of Destruction
Battlefield 6
- Released
- October 10, 2025
Battlefield has long been in a head-to-head battle with COD, and while the franchise might not have the yearly releases like its rival, when a game does drop, it is guaranteed to be a banger. That trend continues with Battlefield 6 pushing boundaries in terms of scale, explosiveness, and by making the gameplay feel more modern while maintaining a lot of the core features that fans adore.
A lot of the classic capture-related modes return, as well as a few new ones. This includes the standalone battle royale mode Redsec, which brings players to an even larger firefight than the standard multiplayer offerings. Battlefield 6 is the perfect alternative for those who want the satisfying gunplay and fluidity of a world-class shooter, but would prefer a more grounded military feel to the futuristic one seen in BO7.

What sets The Finals apart is the different modes on offer. Its campaign, often praised as one of the best in the genre, has some incredibly creative level design and many cinematic set pieces that make it feel more like an action movie than an FPS game.
Titanfall 2 was significantly ahead of its time and still draws in many new players to this day, despite the lack of developer updates. It's the perfect game for those who like the futuristic appearance of the new COD game, but want something even more technologically advanced in terms of both gameplay and movement.

From altering gravity to reshaping the map, these cards make every round feel fresh and chaotic, blending tactical decision-making with explosive energy to keep things fast and tactical at all times.
This added level of depth brings a completely different identity to the gameplay, setting it apart from the simpler multiplayer action seen in BO7. It's an alternative that leans heavily into absurdity as opposed to focusing on realism, turning matches into experiments rather than constant loops of bullets.

Upcoming Military Open-World Games
Get ready for intense tactical warfare: Experience realistic combat and brutal AI in the next generation of military open-world shooters.
The general gameplay loop is pretty satisfying, letting players jump into a quick run to take out some enemies and then defeat the boss for even better rewards. It may not have the longevity of the round-based Zombies mode in COD, but it could be just what players are looking for as a substitute for the latest iteration of the COD Zombies story.

Players can engage in PvP battles, extraction missions, and a cinematic campaign, each emphasizing teamwork and strategy throughout. For those not interested in BO7's more abstract settings, Delta Force provides a grounded, authentic alternative that brings with it a slower, more controlled combat environment that feels like a true military simulation rather than a high-tech shooting gallery.
