To facilitate different playstyles, Grounded 2 offers players a plethora of weapon choices, each requiring a different approach to combat. While weapon variety in Grounded 2 isn’t quite as varied as some other games, the individuality of every weapon more than makes up for it.
Perks allow even weapons from the same category to play differently, opening the door to experimentation and creativity in how players tackle combat encounters. Choosing the right weapon is crucial to survival, especially at higher difficulties.

Since Red Soldier Ant drops constitute the majority of the crafting requirements of the Red Ant Club, it is one of the easiest Tier 2 weapons to unlock, making it one of the best early game weapons in Grounded 2.
The Red Ant Club is a two-handed weapon, effective at dishing out physical damage and stunning enemies. It has the highest stun among all weapons in the game, tied only with the Warhammerlet, which is a Tier 1 weapon, allowing it to stun even Tier 3 or above enemies with only a couple of charged attacks. To balance its stunning effectiveness, however, the Red Ant Club has a slow swing speed, requiring the player to be patient and deliberate with their attacks if they want to get meaningful hits in.

Life Steal |
The Mosquito Needle is a one-handed sword that can be obtained by anyone able to take down a Mosquito. Since Mosquitoes are quite common enemies in the beginning areas of the game, and are easy to take down by relying on parrying, Mosquito Needle can easily be among the first Tier 2 weapons players unlock the ability to craft.
While its physical damage is decent, the real reason Mosquito Needle is so coveted is because of its special perk: Life Steal. This perk makes it so that any time the Mosquito Needle deals damage, it heals the player for 6% of the damage dealt, reducing the need to carry along healing items.
Grounded 2: Best Mage Build
Mages in Grounded 2 rely on Candy Staves to deal elemental damage and status buildup on their enemies, and are able to engage from a distance.

Crimson Avenger is a unique weapon in Grounded 2 that can be obtained by any player who has unlocked a Tier 2 Omni-Shovel. The best part is that while this weapon is a bit out of the way, combat is not actually required to obtain it, unlike some other options like the Gloom Skewer.
The Crimson Avenger is a one-handed sword with a fast swing speed and excellent physical damage. However, its special effect, Spider Critical, is only effective against Spider-type enemies, increasing the damage dealt by 5%. Since it’s a one-handed weapon, it pairs well with shields, making parry builds much easier to pull off.

Venom Attack |
The Wolfsbane Fangs are among the most powerful dual wield daggers players can obtain in Grounded 2. Not only do they do much more pure physical damage than their Tier 2 counterparts, but their special effect allows the player to inflict the venom status effect on enemies.
Every swing of the Wolfsbane Fangs causes 10 Venom buildup, whereas charged attacks increase the buildup by 20. Venom is a damage over time status effect similar to Sizzling that works extremely well against bosses and powerful enemies who don’t go down in one hit.

For builds relying on using bows to deal damage from afar, there is no better option than the Wolf Stinger, a Tier 3 Bow that increases arrow damage by a full 30%, more than any other weapon of this type.
It’s important to note, however, that all of the damage of a bow comes from its arrows. Crafting powerful elemental arrows like Spicy, Mint, Gas, and Venom should be on every ranger’s first priority every time they go to resupply.
Grounded 2: All Armor in the Game

Chilling Attack |
In the dual wield category of weapons, Ice Sickles are by far the best option. These icy daggers inflict the chilling status effect on enemies, slowing down their movement and attack speed with the possibility of directly freezing them in place.
Due to their fast attack speed, Ice Sickles are also the best way to freeze enemies, as the per-hit chill buildup is more potent than any other means of inflicting this type of damage.

The Mantis Blade is the most powerful regular two-handed weapon in Grounded 2. It has the highest physical damage out of every weapon in the game, and a relatively fast swing speed that allows its high base damage to shine through.
Another point in Mantis Blade’s favor is that it isn’t locked behind main story progression like some other weapons, but can be obtained by any player confident enough to take on a Praying Mantis Nymph. While difficult, it is entirely possible for even a completely new character to deal with this enemy, allowing them to obtain the Mantis Blade much earlier than they might expect.
Grounded 2: All Creatures & Their Loot
There are many creatures in Grounded 2, most of whom are insects, but there are also arachnids and mollusks. Each of these can be killed for loot.

Sizzling Attack |
Spicy Coaltana is one of the most iconic weapons in the Grounded franchise, and it remains just as effective in the sequel as it was in the first game. It is a two-handed weapon like the Mantis Blade, though with slightly less base damage.
What allows Spicy Coaltana to shine, however, is its perk: Sizzling Attack, which allows the weapon to inflict the Sizzling status effect on hit. Combined with its Spicy damage augment, this gives Spicy Coaltana the ability to dish out some insane damage with the right build.
Spicy Globs can be found in the buried treasure in the spider nest near the Pine Hill Ranger Outpost (requires Sizzling Key), and EverChar Coal Chunks can be mined from the Charcoal in the Fire Pit area.
