The AEK-971 returns in Battlefield 6 as the Kord 6P67, a rapid-fire assault rifle with low recoil and high lethality. If you've played the previous Battlefield games, you should already know what to expect from rifle, but if you're a new player who loves fighting in close quarters, then you're in for a wonderful time.
The Kord is an absolute bullethose of a gun, but even though it shoots at an extreme rate, it is still very easy to control, and it's surprisingly accurate too. This Kord build for Battlefield 6 is built to play around the rifle's strengths and help players get more out of it in both close and long-ranged fights.

The Kord has already gained a reputation for being the best assault rifle in the game. It is very similar to the M4A1 in BF6 — both have the same fire rate, though the Kord has a damage value of 20, which means the fastest it can kill an enemy is in five shots to the chest or four to the head. Both the Kord and M4A1 remain effective at ~100m, where they can down the Firing Range target at that range with six body shots.
Recoil is almost a non-issue with the Kord. You'll have very little trouble controlling the upward climb of its muzzle when firing in full auto, though you will have to deal with horizontal recoil. The Kord moves to the left when you're shooting, so keep that in mind when you're trying to make accurate shots from a distance.
Also, the Kord is one of the few guns in the game that has a burst fire mode. It fires two shots in very rapid succession, making it incredible for long-range shooting.

Since the Kord likes to veer to the left during full-auto shooting, the Linear Comp is going to be our muzzle device of choice. It tones down horizontal recoil in exchange for a stronger vertical kick, but since the Kord's vertical recoil is already low, this downside isn't all that bad, especially since we'll also be using a foregrip attachment.
Speaking of foregrips, even the ones that offer the lowest level of recoil reduction do a great job at stabilizing the Kord. Because of this, we recommend basing your choice on your preferred engagement distance or the map you're playing on:
- Alloy Vertical and Ribbed Stubby Grips have no drawbacks, making them good for close-medium-ranged engagements.
- Classic Vertical and Low-Profile Stubby Grips greatly decrease your recoil, making them good if you want to use magnified optics.
- Bipod and Grip Pods are also good when you're using magnified optics.
The rest of the attachments are up to taste. If you're playing with a magnified optic, consider bringing a canted sight for close quarters. We recommend keeping an eye on your ADS speed, as that's likely going to be the stat that determines if you win close-range duels.
