6 Need for Speed Underground
A Game That Changed The Racing Genre Forever
Need for Speed: Underground
- Released
- November 17, 2003
- ESRB
- E For Everyone // Mild Language, Suggestive Themes
- Genre(s)
- Racing
One of the best street racing games ever made, and the precursor of many titles like The Grid, and the first iteration of a series that followed with NFS Most Wanted, NFS Carbon 1 & 2, and NFS Undercover, all of them set in the Street Racing underworld, pinning players versus players in high-stakes races using modified sports cars.
8 Best EA Games Of The 2020s, Ranked (So Far)
Quite a few incredible games have been released by EA in the 2020s, and here are the best out of all of them.
It was one of the most enjoyable experiences ever made by EA, and an absolute masterpiece that combined incredible music (most of which was developed as soundtrack for the game) with innovative game modes like Drift and Free Run. Sadly, the franchise died out as the audience's interest in street racing declined. Although remaking this game or giving fans a Need for Speed Underground 3 would make fans of racing games brim with emotion.
5 Spore
An Innovative Life-Sim Game
Spore
- Released
- September 7, 2008
- ESRB
- E10+ For Everyone 10+ due to Animated Blood, Comic Mischief, Fantasy Violence
- Genre(s)
- Life Simulation
Spore (created by Maxis and published by EA) was one of the most innovative games ever made. Using a very unique and complex system, players could customize a living form from its cellular stage, and go through all the periods of evolution until making it climb to the ground, to finally make it the dominant species on the planet.
After the initial release, the developers included an expansion (Spore: Galactic Adventures) that permitted them to grow these creatures into their own tribes, and after that, a galactic civilization. It was one of the most enjoyable games that set a before and after in the life-sim genre, and paved the way for other developers to explore xenofiction in their games. It would be incredible if EA decided to remake Spore.
4 Wing Commander
Before Mass Effect Was Even A Plan, This Game Made History
When Wing Commander was first launched, it was distributed in a format no modern gamer would ever consider viable. The enormous 5.25-inch floppy disks came inside a bulky cardboard package, and opening it was the first contact many gamers had with a space simulation game.
And many connoisseurs consider Wing Commander the father of series like Mass Effect, and many other sci-fi franchises like Dark Forces. Nowadays, this game is a legend, nearly forgotten, but those who were able to have this in their hands back in the early '90s can consider themselves lucky and honored to have played one of the best games ever made. Star Citizen can be considered its successor, but how cool would it be if the younger generations could experience a remake of the original game, adapted to modern systems?
3 American McGee's Alice
A Game Surrounded By Controversy, But Still A Magnificent Title
American McGee's Alice

- December 5, 2000
- Developer(s)
- Rogue Entertainment
- Genre(s)
- Action-Adventure
Published by EA but developed by Rogue Entertainment and Spicy Horse studios (sequel), American McGee's take on Lewis Carroll's classic novels is a gorgeous yet gruesome adaptation. Highly praised for its unique art style and grotesqueness, and criticized for its repetitive gameplay and unbalance between platforming mechanics and combat.
The game has become a 'cult classic,' and every fan of the series toys with rumors of a potential return in the near future. Sadly, without the genius behind its development (American McGee), it would be far-fetched to hope for a remake. More so if the creator himself has declared on many occasions that he has "no further ideas, nor energy" to push forward a new title of the series. Fans would have to stay put and see if EA eventually resurrects it, and a remake of the first iteration would be the ideal re-starting point for the series.
2 Dungeon Keeper
The Very Definition of 'So Much Fun Should Be Illegal'
Dungeon Keeper
- Released
- June 26, 1997
- ESRB
- m
- Developer(s)
- Bullfrog Productions
- Genre(s)
- Real-Time Strategy
The classic Dungeon-builder developed by Bullfrog Studios, Dungeon Keeper is a beacon of wasted potential among EA's enormous library of forgotten titles. A game that has everything it needs to become a successful next-gen game (especially if remade and ported to Nintendo Switch 2), offering thousands of hours of ridiculously fun gameplay.
8 Best First-Person Games By EA, Ranked
EA is well-known for its more famous FPS games, but the company's best first-person titles extend well beyond the work of DICE and Respawn.
This title was created during the golden age of simulation games, when Electronic Arts ruled supreme over the genre. Its unique combination of mechanics, creature AI, resource management, and dark humor forged its path to success, becoming truly addictive for veterans of the genre and newcomers as well. This game has so much remake potential that it hurts to see the franchise tucked in a dark corner, gathering dust.
1 SimCity
Another Franchise That Could Use A Refresh
With engaging and detailed gameplay, the SimCity franchise has been one of the most notorious successes of EA as a publishing company, and up to a decade ago, it was one of their flagship products. Sadly, the gamers' interest in simulation games declined, and the franchise was forgotten, outshone by its younger sibling (The Sims).
There was a mild attempt to refloat it, introducing SimCity: Buildit in the mobile market, which was back in 2014. Sadly, there has been nothing ever since, and fans of the best city builder franchise ever made are losing all hope of seeing a new title ever again. A remake of the original SimCity with modernized mechanics would be a smart approach if they want to resurrect this title.
