Dead Rising 2 has plenty of dark jokes scattered throughout the game. In fact, the whole series is known for its morbid sense of humor. Players can cobble together all sorts of materials to make unique and deadly weapons that take down zombies in style.

While there are lots of great lines in the game, one of the more dark yet hilarious aspects is the Freedom Bear. This is an interesting combo weapon that can be made by combining a light machine gun with a robot bear. The results are as funny as they are dark. Players can sit back and watch as this well-armed teddy shoots through crowds of undead with ease.

The Borderlands series is well-known for its dark humor. That said, Borderlands 2 takes this to the next level. A good example of this kind of humor occurs with Face McShooty. This is an entire mission based around a non-hostile individual who quite literally wants the player to kill him.

While all of Bethesda's Fallout games have a fair amount of humor, Fallout 3 is filled with dark jokes and storylines. There's a questline that gives players the option to blow up an entire town because it makes the wasteland look untidy. There's also a questline centered around the player taking many forms of punishment, all to help Moira write a book.

The Best Part Of Every Mainline Fallout Game

Fallout games have some truly memorable experiences, here are some of the absolute best moments from every mainline Fallout title.

While the aforementioned questlines contain their fair share of dark humor, the Vaults are where the most morbid jokes can be found. Vault 108, just like most Vaults in the series, is a place where some dark experiments took place. While these experiments are usually always sinister, Vault 108's experiment was centered around cloning. Upon entering the Vault, players will be confronted and attacked by a horde of Garys. These clones all repeat the same lines and are identical in every way, which makes for a pretty morbid yet comedic encounter.

It's hard to pick just a single Grand Theft Auto game when it comes to dark comedy. All of the games in the series are filled with morbidly funny moments. However, Grand Theft Auto 5 edges out the other games in the series.

The main reason for this is Trevor. Trevor is the king of dark comedy in the world of the long-running crime simulator . From making small talk while committing murder to making snide remarks as tragedy unfolds in front of him, there are very few video game characters quite like Trevor.
