Calling this one of the best missions in RDR2 is a stretch, but it's fun to go with Charles and scout for a new place where the gang can set up camp at the end of Chapter 2. Arthur's unwillingness to help people can be seen here and Charles must push him to locate the father of a family that was holed up here. For his efforts, the gang is rewarded with a nice hideout to make camp at Dewberry Creek.

Hosea is one of the best characters in Red Dead Redemption 2, and fans will love the idea of interacting with this member of Dutch's gang whenever they get the chance. One such opportunity appears when he asks Arthur to come with him and hunt down a bear, allowing players to converse with him during this task.
It helps that hunting down the bear is a nerve-wracking affair that makes it evident to players that tackling these imposing beasts is no easy feat. After a hectic hunt where the bear flees after taking a ton of damage, Arthur and Hosea decide to cut their losses and head back to camp.

The Epilogue is a bittersweet moment in Red Dead Redemption 2. Arthur's loss hurts, but players finally get to play as John Marston after the longest time - nearly 10 years for those who played the first Red Dead Redemption. This includes the moment when Uncle and John finally get around to making Beecher's Hope, his iconic ranch where he eventually raises a family with Abigail.
In "A New Jerusalem," players get to see the house being made. If Arthur had high honor, there's a blue jay that observes John as he works on making the house. Many fans have surmised that this is meant to be the spirit of Arthur looking over John, which is a heartwarming touch if the speculation holds some truth.

The misunderstandings simply don't end, as in "An Honest Mistake," the members of the gang get a tip that a wagon with valuable loot is nearby that is prime for robbing.
Creepy Encounters Found In Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 may not be regarded by many fans as a horror game, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have some horror elements.
Unfortunately, it turns out that the wagon was the property of Cornwall himself, and his guards descend on the group as they realize the error of their ways. They're forced to retreat to a barn, where the group must hide out for a bit before another massive shootout with Cornwall's guards, who end up peppering the barn with bullets and forcing the men to split up after fleeing for a second time.

Kieran Duffy |

Location |
Six Point Cabin |
It's hard to trust Kieran early on in Red Dead Redemption 2, but there are numerous moments where this ex-O'Driscoll shows his loyalty to Dutch's gang. One such moment arrives when he's allowed to show his allegiance by leading the members of the gang to a hideout where Colm O'Driscoll could be located.
Unfortunately, the Six Point Cabin houses an O'Driscoll ambush with no sign of Colm. The blame would've fallen on Kieran had he not put himself in harm's way and taken out a member of the gang who had the jump on Arthur and was about to take out the protagonist. This cements Kieran's loyalty, who slowly but surely becomes a trustworthy member of the camp.

After heading to Valentine with some members of the gang, Arthur learns of a train loaded with valuables, making it a perfect target for the outlaws to earn some cash. However, as one would expect from any RDR2 mission, the journey to acquire this information is far from simple.
After riding to Valentine, Arthur must save Tilly from a person she tried to rob. Along with this, a suspicious man flees Arthur after asking if he is a member of the infamous Blackwater heist. Players must give chase until the man is teetering on the edge of a cliff. Based on Arthur's moral compass, he can either stamp on his hand and cause him to fall or pull him up and get the full picture.

Eagle Flies |

By the time Chapter 6 starts, it's increasingly clear that Dutch doesn't harbor the same morals that made Arthur admire him at one point. The man only looks out for himself, trying to gaslight everyone about his plan, which sounds less and less ideal as the events of the game reach a climax.
Most Selfless Characters In Red Dead Redemption
The Red Dead universe is full of characters whose moral alignments are questionable, but angels do exist in the form of some kind-hearted souls.
In "Favored Sons," Dutch decides to do what he does best and looks out for himself, coaxing Eagle Flies to make the critical mistake of attracting the army's attention and trying to reduce the attention he's drawn to himself. It's a pretty action-packed mission, but sets off a domino effect that ends with the death of Eagle Flies in a later mission.

The beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2 can be a bit of a doozy for players. They lack a lot of the context to understand why Dutch's gang is on the run. Still, despite the prologue's slow pace, the first mission does a great job of introducing players to the gameplay mechanics at play and how players must prepare to deal with everything this game can throw at them.
The conflict between Dutch's gang and the O'Driscolls is established, with one of the best missions in RDR2 also introducing an excellent and captivating character. Seeing Sadie Adler require the aid of Dutch is sobering and shows just how lawless the world can be at times, and watching this widow transform as the game progresses to take revenge on the men who killed her husband forms one of the game's many memorable moments.

Of course, before the gang can settle in Shady Belle, Arthur must team up with John and take out the last of the Lemoyne raiders in this location. Despite being a quick and painless shootout, what makes this one of the best missions in RDR2 is the long-term impact of securing a beautiful manor as the gang's hideout.
