God of War's 2018 reboot was a much-celebrated return to form for Kratos, even if some people felt that the enemy variety was somewhat lacking. Facing different reskins of a troll over and over again became rather grating for players who wanted to enjoy some cinematic combat.
Every God Of War Game, Ranked
Santa Monica Studio's God of War has produced many great games. Naturally, some of Kratos' bloody PlayStation adventures are better than others.
Ragnarok addressed this criticism by making each boss more meaningful than ever before. Players had to strategize for each encounter and utilize their high-damage skills to help Kratos win in these epic encounters that are as cinematic as they come.

After his much-celebrated work on Dark Souls, Miyakazi decided to implement aspects of gothic and Lovecraftian horror in its titles. The result was a smashing success, with Bloodborne being hailed by many as one of the best FromSoftware video games of all time.
The fast-paced combat system lets the developer integrate the hardest bosses they've ever developed for a FromSoftware game. The DLC takes things a step further, with fights like Ludwig and the Orphan of Kos being devilishly hard and forcing players to stay on the offensive without taking too much damage, which is easier said than done.

From random area bosses to story encounters, the game is rife with these boss encounters that push players to their very limit. Making the most of their chosen vocation and climbing onto monsters to hit their weak spots makes for some intense battles as Dragon's Dogma 2 shines in these cinematic encounters.

Elden Ring is FromSoftware's most popular video game by a country mile. The open world is a joy to explore as players get stronger at their own pace, eventually letting them tackle and defeat bosses who were giving them a rough time early on.
Elden Ring: Great Weapons For The Early Game
Choosing the right weapon is essential in a game like Elden Ring. These are some of the best options for players just starting out.
While the game suffers from repeating certain bosses in other sections of the open world, most fans consider this to be a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. For the most part, everything from fast-paced duels to epic dragon fights can be enjoyed in Elden Ring, with the variety of these boss encounters coupled with their challenge justifying all the accolades this game enjoyed when it launched.

Players expecting Lies of P to be another run-of-the-mill Soulslike were floored by the game's impressive visuals, challenging combat, tantalizing story, and a suite of impressive boss fights. Players needed to be at the very top of their game if they didn't want to be surprised by the sheer speed and ferociousness of these battles.
Most of the bosses in Lies of P have multiple phases, a trope executed so many times that it becomes somewhat tiring as the game goes on. However, this is a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things, with players loving how challenging and rewarding these boss fights are otherwise.

Final Fantasy 16 may be ridiculously easy at times, but that should take nothing away from the awe-inspiring nature of the game's bosses. From high-pressure hunts to storyline encounters against other Eikons, it's easy to see why Clive's bombastic battles leave a lasting impression on many players.
Some of the battles may be all style and no substance, but Final Fantasy 16 thankfully ramps up the challenge in later boss fights to make every victory taste sweeter. Battles against Odin and Ultima are especially notable for upping the stakes, making it entirely possible for players to be defeated in battle after steamrolling through the majority of the game's encounters.
