Attachments in Battlefield 6 are a great way to enhance a weapon's capabilities. The game has a large variety of SMGs that players can pick up and roll into combat. The SGX is the starting SMG in the game and easily one of the best in the category as well.
The accessories and attachments for this weapon can make it into something that can laser down the enemies without them being able to react to what just happened. Though there are quite a few different angles, the guide below offers the best attachments players can go with early game and later on in Battlefield 6.

Since the SGX is the starting SMG, players will be using this quite a bit, and thankfully, that is great because you do not need to switch to any other SMG that unlocks down the path. The SGX starts with pretty decent stats, such as 25 damage per bullet and a fire rate of 830. The SMG also starts with a good Control score, meaning the recoil pattern is relatively easy to learn and manage for burst-firing or short-range sprays.
When it comes to the weapon's weaknesses, there are a few things to go over. The base weapon struggles at medium ranges. Since it does not have a high Precision score, you will find your recoil going way above the enemy's head when you try to hold down the trigger for a long period of time. Things like Projectile Velocity and Reload Speed are also not that good, but these can easily be altered with the addition of attachments.

Starting with the Flashlight and the 50MW Green Laser, these attachments increase your hipfire accuracy, allowing you to engage enemies effectively without always having to rely on aiming down sights (ADS) to clear an objective on the map. The weapon's projectile velocity is not inherently high; this is why the 8" Extended barrel is essential, significantly enhancing the weapon's capability for mid-range engagements.
You have the option to go for an increased magazine size of 36, but the 30RND Fast Mag provides a significantly improved reload speed of around 2.2 seconds, which can be critical for maintaining uptime in close-quarters combat.
The RO-M 1.75X might not be a popular choice among scopes, but a primary benefit is its high sight picture, which prevents it from obstructing your view while providing sufficient magnification to accurately pin down targets.
Lastly, the 6H64 Vertical Grip and the Double-Port Brake are both excellent choices for reducing recoil and making the weapon much more manageable. These attachments will specifically help control the vertical and horizontal components of the weapon's recoil pattern.
