1923 is yet another spin-off of the Yellowstone series telling an older story in a different time period, when John Dutton's uncle, Jacob Dutton, played by Harison Ford, tries to keep what is his and protect his family, along with his brother James Dutton, played by Tim McGraw, and wife Carra Dutton, played by Helen Mirren.

After owning the land for many years, the Duttons and their land come under fire as tensions explode with Irish immigrants who tire of getting so little. The series focuses on Jacob Dutton's fight for survival as honor and respect go out the window. In the opening moments of the show, after a violent attack, Jacob barely escapes with his life and decides to take the kid gloves off.

A Series About Honor Amongst Thieves And The Lack Of It

The Mayor of Kingstown is a drastically different take from most of Taylor Sheridan's television shows but shares the intense atmosphere, and intricate character work that each of his series possesses. Jeremy Renner, known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stars as an ex-convict who inherited his brother's title as go-between of a violent city after his death.

Not entirely adequate for the job, Mike (Jeremy Renner) tries to ensure peace between gangs, Russians, and police to prevent the city he loves from being swallowed up by violence. Mayor Of Kingstown is a gritty crime drama filled with deep character development involving both major and minor cast members, making the series a memorable watch. A Gritty Modern-Day Western

Longmire is not a Taylor Sheridan program, but it is a terrific series nonetheless. Set in Absaroka County, Wyoming, a lone sheriff fends off all sorts of threats while trying to come to terms with his own trauma that may be bleeding into his work life.

Starring Robert Taylor as Walt Longmire, a grizzled and reserved old Sherif who's been in the morning for the last ten years, must maintain peace in his county as snakes gather from all sides. Walking the line between lawman and vigilante, Longmire relies on his partner Vic Moretti, played by Katee Sackhoff, to keep him in line. Many twists and turns occur in the everyday lives of the Absaroka Sherif department, such as poachers, serial killers, and relations with the Native American community.

3 Justified

A Tension Filled Home-Brewed Series Filled With Action And Drama

Justified is another action-packed drama that matches Landman's energy incredibly well. Starring Timothy Olyphant as Deputy Raylan Givens, who grew up in a small rough-necked town that brought him up strong and brave. Working diligently, Givens made it all the way to Miami as a detective but fell from grace after a questionable shoot.

Having owned the Yellowstone ranch for over one hundred years, the land has made them the target of state officials, real estate companies, and even black sheep of the Dutton name.

John Dutton, the father of the ranch, is a ruthless but not unfeeling cowboy played by Kevin Costner, who brings an immense aura to the series as if he were meant for the role. Violence seems to be the only currency that enemies of the Dutton family understand, as all loyal Yellowstone families take up arms against nearly the entire state.
