After Fallout 76 was generally considered as one of the most disappointing games of 2018, it seems that Bethesda is still making amends. Now, as previously promised, Fallout 76 players who logged into the title at any point in 2018 can obtain the Fallout Classic Collection for free. For those unaware, this compendium includes the original Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics.

This offer from Bethesda will allow players to relive the first two Fallout games released in the 90’s back when the franchise was developed by Black Isle Studios. Also, Fallout Tactics is available to download, which follows the Brotherhood of Steel, and is considered as a separate game, as it does not follow the events of the first two Fallout games.

Bethesda’s decision to include the Fallout Classic Collection for Fallout 76  players seems to be the company’s attempt to make amends after the disappointing launch of the game. It is no secret that Fallout 76’s release last year was plagued with several controversies such as the game containing a litany of bugs, as well as the issue regarding the studio replacing nylon collectibles with canvas bags instead.

In other Fallout 76 news, Bethesda revealed the details of an upcoming patch, which will be launched on January 14. The patch is set to correct several issues in the game such as performance and stability improvements. Furthermore, the upcoming patch will improve Perks and weapons, challenges and quests, and fix several problems that have made the quality of life features difficult for honest players.

Most recently, some Fallout 76 fans were disappointed with the several bugs that were identified in the game such as security breaches revealing user’s personal info. The bug seemed to have caused an issue allowing anyone to view other people’s support tickets as well as their own. Since the issue was raised, Bethesda admitted that the breach lasted for 45 minutes and allowed other people to view approximately 123 support tickets that were submitted through the company’s support website.

Taking all of this into consideration, it is nice to see Bethesda making up for the rough launch of Fallout 76. At least now, with the option to download the Fallout Classic Collection, players who are not satisfied with their purchase of Bethesda’s recent addition to the Fallout franchise can at least relive the games that made them fall in love with the series in the first place.
