Big Mouth is one of the most successful adult animated comedies on Netflix with its unique take on the puberty experience. The show's success has even spawned a spin-off series called Human Resources. Big Mouth takes place in a small town with a handful of pre-teens struggling with their bodies, emotions, and family drama. Sexual tension and mental health are the key factors in Big Mouth as characters fall in and out of love, engage in drastically unsafe scenarios such as orgies, interplanetary chaos, and mature at an unbalanced pace.

Here to take the bull by the horns and steer this animated ship in the right direction are the hormone monsters, Connie and Maury. Maury is the male counterpart hormone monster who usually solves all his problems with a good romp. Maury is a silver-tongued devil and sheds more than just a few gems every episode. Here are some of Maury’s best quotes from Big Mouth.

5 Season 4: The New Me - "My Proctologist Is Never Going To Believe I Didn't Do This To Myself”

In "The New Me" episode of Big Mouth Season 3, Andrew and Nick have gone to summer camp together. At the same time, Nick raves about his previous experiences being the big man on campus, but Andrew is skeptical about the opportunities that await him. However, Nick goes on about his flings with camp girls, the camp managers who love him, and his other best friend, Seth.

Unfortunately, Nick is knocked off cloud nine when camp does not go as he expected, as Andrew becomes the new center of attention. Nick seethes in jealousy and lashes out at Andrew, who brushes off his feelings. Nick flees the cabin, and Maury berates him on his way out. Connie, who’s currently serving as Nick’s Hormone monster, storms in wearing full jet ski gear and gives Maury a piece of her mind by planting two ski’s in his tooshie, where this outrageous phrase was coined.

4 Season 3: Super Mouth - "You Somehow Made Farting Even Cooler"

In Big Mouth Season 3, a tidal wave of relationship drama hits the scene as tensions rise between Andrew, Missy, Jay, and Lola. Fresh off the shock of Nick sharing a kiss with Missy, Andrew is distraught by his betrayal. What pushes Andrew even further is that Nick decides to lie about the kiss and act as if nothing happened.

Andrew’s inner turmoil manifests itself as the ability to become invisible after passing gas. While Nick panics at first, the more he gets used to the idea, he learns he could use it in his favor. Of course, Maury is ecstatic about the ability from the start, admiring the mixing of superpowers and flatulence, which is when he utters this classic line.

3 Season 3: Florida - "She Might Be F****** With You, But I Think We Like It”

Big Mouth Season 3 was one of the wildest rides of the show's existence. From love triangles to flatulence-powered superpowers, Nick, Missy, Andrew, and Jessie go through a plethora of changes as they continue to deal with their feelings and the consequences that come with acting on them. In episode five, Andrew goes on a family trip across the country to Florida to visit his grandpa, and Nick is along for the ride. Unfortunately, what is supposed to be a lame traditional family dinner turns into a sexually tension-filled feast between Andrew and his cousin Cheryl.

From the moment Cheryl steps on the scene, she wraps Andrew around her finger, teasing and baiting him into uncompromising positions. While lost in her manipulation, Maury chips in and makes this gross but accurate statement. Maury's filter is what makes him one of the best characters on the show, and Andrew is the perfect yin to his yang.

2 Season 3: The New Me - "We Hate Camp, It Stinks Of Trees And The Boy Only Likes To Poop At Home”

Big Mouth drops Andrew and Nick in a summer camp, and while Nick thinks he'll be the talk of the town, it's Andrew who ends up being the shiny new toy. Nick becomes incredibly anxious as his conflict with Andrew intensifies after their argument about Missy, and neither is willing to be the bigger man and apologize.

Instead, Andrew takes advantage of his popularity and tries to make Nick as miserable as possible. But while Andrew terrorizes his former best friend, karma visits him in the form of intense stress and resentment, which leaves his bowels tied in knots. Maury also dislikes the lack of chaos and abundance of kumbaya within the camp and can't wait to escape.

1 Season 2: Smooch Or Share - "I Think He’s His Own Hormone Monster"

Big Mouth is a show filled with wild and crazy antics that get more out of control with every season. Some of the ideas cooked up for the animated series are too much, which spawned the spin-off series Human Resources. However, Big Mouth will always have an edge on the competition, like Rick and Morty in the form of Jay Bilzerian.

Jay is a chaotic, raging hormone wolf boy who does what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants. As one of the best characters on the show, Jay lives wild and free, shocking many of the other characters with his escapades, even the hormone monsters. Jay's levels of depravity have impressed Maury so much that he’s dubbed him his own hormone monster.
