Weekly Shonen Jump is definitely one of the greatest, if not the greatest manga magazines ever. This magazine saw the rise and fall of many monumental shonen series, including the likes of Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, Jujutsu Kaisen, and My Hero Academia, among others. Now, another big series that used to run in Weekly Shonen Jump and was later moved to Jump GIGA is ending, and it’s none other than the series that replaced Naruto a decade ago, Black Clover.
Oda, Kishimoto, And Kubo Celebrate Black Clover’s 10 Year Anniversary
The three legendary manga artists have provided their own homages to the highly influential Black Clover.
Black Clover’s next chapter will reach its ‘Super Climax’, a term only used when a manga is at its end. Fans are both excited and saddened to see their favorite manga ending. On a bright note, however, the anime can finally begin the long-awaited adaptation of this series after being put on hold for years.
Black Clover Manga Is Reaching Its End
- The Next Chapter is Previewed with ‘Super Climax’
- MHA and JJK Used The Same Term At Their End
Black Clover rose to prominence a decade or so ago, and quickly became one of the hottest new manga. It started a year after Naruto ended, and because of the fact that it shared so many elements with the beloved ninja series, fans were quick to call it its replacement.
Since then, Black Clover has definitely become massive, and it is an easily recognizable series for anime and manga fans all over the world. However, the truth is, it never reached its true potential. Black Clover’s success was affected greatly by the extended manga breaks due to the creator’s health, which in turn led to its anime going on hiatus for years.
Black Clover’s New Anime Receives A Big Update from Author Yuki Tabata
Black Clover got a huge update from the creator, and fans are excited.
2025, however, has proven to be the year of Black Clover, as the creator, Yuki Tabata, has returned with quite a few chapters. Most interestingly, the next Black Clover chapter is previewed with the term ‘Super Climax.’
For fans who don’t know, Black Clover has been in its final arc for quite some time now, and it seems it’s finally coming to an end. The term Super Climax is only used when a series is at its end, and it was used by the likes of MHA and JJK last year as well, one chapter before they ended. Black Clover, as a manga, will definitely have concluded far before the end of 2025, depending on Tabata’s pace and how many chapters exactly he is planning to do, but chances are that there are just 1-3 more chapter left.
What This Means For The Black Clover Series
With The Manga Ending, the Anime Can Finally Go All Out
The Black Clover manga ending this year is both good and bad news at the same time. The Black Clover series can finally conclude, instead of being in a constant state of hiatus, and fans can finally see the conclusion of all the character arcs that have been built up for a decade now. That's most certainly the good part. The bad news is that 1-3 chapters might not be enough to wrap up the story, so whatever happens next will likely not please the fans.
The best part of the manga ending, is that the anime can also go all out. The anime previously went on a hiatus due to a lack of content, but now, with the story almost over, the entire series can be fully adapted. Black Clover season 2 has already been confirmed anyway, and fans are definitely excited for what 2026 will bring for the series.
The Black Clover series, despite its long hiatus, still has many episodes out for the series. All these episodes can be found and streamed on Crunchyroll, the biggest anime platform in the world. Season 2 will also be available on Crunchyroll once it is released eventually. For fans who don’t want to wait for the anime return however, the manga is the perfect place to indulge in more Black Clover content, especially as it is still ongoing. It can be found on Manga Plus.
