Anime Expo delivered a lot of exciting news this year, especially for fans of the Black Clover series. Despite years of hiatuses, Black Clover still has a huge and dedicated fan base. After all, it was once one of the biggest shonen series, reaching a level of popularity comparable to anime like Boruto and My Hero Academia. Now, the creator, Yuki Tabata, has an important message that might imply something huge for the upcoming anime.

  • Anime Will Release Sometime in 2026
  • The Manga Is Also Returning

Black Clover fans were recently treated to great news as the return of their favorite anime was officially confirmed. The newest season, referred to as season 5, is scheduled for release in 2026. This is exciting news after quite a few long years of hiatus.

Not only is the anime returning, but so is the manga, with new chapters of Black Clover being released often. The manga has been quite inconsistent over the last few years, mainly due to Yuki Tabata’s health and schedule. However, Tabata is dedicated to finishing the story, and there shouldn’t be much of the story left now, as the manga is in its final arc.

It’s Possible Anime-Only Scenes Will Be Added

Yuki Tabata is, of course, very excited about the anime’s return. So much so that he recently shared an exciting message with fans. A lot is happening for the series, and from his message, it seems brand-new, anime-only content might be added. Tabata mentioned “powered up anime,” indicating that if new content is added, it will likely be under his supervision. There might be some material Tabata wasn’t able to include in the manga due to health issues and a rushed schedule, so this could be an opportunity to see his full vision, making the anime a perfected version of his manga.
