Black Myth: Wukong- 6 Things You Should Not Buy From Merchants
Black Myth: Wukong players should avoid buying these items from stores and merchants.
As players continue their adventure, bosses and mobs become stronger, so they need the best equipment to deal with them. Luckily, there is a myriad of armor sets in Black Myth: Wukong that will help players get the better of their enemies. Some of these armor sets are upgradeable, while others are already at the highest level. As a result of so many options, it can be difficult to pick just one.
7 Folk Opera Set
Great For Farming Will
The Folk Opera Set might not be best suited for the latter chapters of the game, but it is an excellent choice for those trying to farm extra Will in the first few hours of the game. The Folk Opera Set has four pieces, which include
Folk Opera Mask,
Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor,
Folk Opera Leather Bracers, and
Folk Opera Buskins.
Unfortunately, players will have to buy the Deluxe Edition of the game to obtain the entire set. Currently, there is no other way to get the Folk Opera Armor set.
6 Iron Set
Makes Rock Solid Easier To Use
The Iron Set is associated with the
Rock Solid Spell. It includes
Iron Horned Helm,
Iron-Tough Armor,
Iron-Tough Gauntlets, and
Iron-Tough Greaves. The Rock Solid spell is the closest thing to Parry in Black Myth: Wukong. Unfortunately, it cannot be used in rapid succession.
Black Myth: Wukong - All Chapters, Ranked From Worst To Best
Black Myth: Wukong features six large chapters, each offering unique locations, bosses, and hidden areas. Here's how they rank within the game.
This is where the Iron Set comes in. Equipping the Destined One with two parts of the Iron Set will increase the amount of Focus gained by successfully deflecting an attack. If players put all four pieces on the Destined One, successful Rock Solid deflections will considerably reduce the cooldown of the spells.
5 Galeguard Set
Perfect Dodges Are The Way To Go
Due to the lack of regular Parry ability in Black Myth: Wukong, players mainly have to rely on dodging incoming attacks. Depending on the timing, players can either go for a regular dodge or a perfect dodge. While regular dodges will allow players to avoid incoming attacks, perfect dodges are more useful.
Putting on any two pieces of the Galeguard Set will grant additional Focus every time players pull off a perfect dodge. If they use all four parts, perfect dodges will reduce the cooldown of all spells. This is a pretty strong ability when combined with
Peace from Peril and other dodge related skills. Not only will players be able to deal extra damage, but their spells will be available to use quickly.
4 Bronze Set
Perfect For Repeated Immobilize Use
The Bronze Set consists of the
Bronze Monkey Mask,
Bronze Brocade Battlerobe,
Bronze Armguard, and
Bronze Buskins. This armor set is best suited for players who rely on the Immobilize spell a lot in combat.
Black Myth: Wukong — 22 Hardest Boss Fights, Ranked
Black Myth: Wukong offers nearly 100 unique bosses, and these are among the hardest fights players will encounter.
The two-piece set bonus allows players to deal extra damage whenever they break the immobilization on an enemy. The four-piece bonus massively lowers the cooldown of Immobilize if players manage to crash it. This armor is made for players who mostly use Immobilize in battle. To make things even more interesting, players can unlock skills like
Stagnation and
Evanescence to make Immobilize even better.
3 Centipede Set
Inflict Enemies With Poison Bane
The Centipede Set needs a very specific build to function properly. It performs best when the Destined One is poisoned, which is not an ideal situation to be in. But the set takes care of the problem. Equipping two pieces from this set massively reduces the continuous poison damage that players take.
When players equip all four pieces, their attack will be significantly increased in Poisoned State. While the set certainly looks appealing, the main problem is getting poisoned, but that can easily be solved by equipping the
Deathstinger (Consumable), a Soak to self-inflict poison. This will help them meet the conditions and use the Centipede armor set to the fullest.
2 Monkey King Set
Best Armor For Spell Cooldown Reduction
The Monkey King Set is essentially another name for Sun Wukong's armor set. This particular set consists of the
Golden Feng-Tail Crown,
Gold Suozi Armor,
Dian-Cui Loong-Soaring Bracers, and
Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders. The set has two bonuses, which will trigger when players have either three or five pieces equipped.
The three-piece bonus increases the Critical Hit Chance for a short while after using a Spell. The five-piece bonus reduces the cooldown of all spells slightly whenever players land a Critical Hit. Players will obtain this armor set in Chapter 6 of Black Myth: Wukong.
Players must equip the Jingubang Staff for the full bonus.
1 Bull King's Armor Set
Grants High Defense And Tenacity
The Bull King's Armor set is not just the best armor set in the game, but the best rounded set as well. It comprises
Bull King's Mask,
Bull King's Bracers,
Bull King's Shan Wen Armor, and
Bull King's Greaves. It has two unique abilities: one can be activated with just two pieces of armor. Most players will only have a maximum of three armor pieces in their initial run, so they will have the two-piece bonus active, which increases defense moderately whenever the Destined One takes damage.
When all four pieces of the armor are equipped, it grants Tenacity, making the Destined One nearly immune to stagger when his HP is below 50%. The main resource for the Bull King's Armor set is the Bull King's Horn. This particular item can only be found in the Bishui Cave.
This armor can only be crafted in New Game+.
