Black Myth: Wukong is one of the best games based on Chinese mythology. It draws inspiration from Journey to the West, a popular novel that is centered around Sun Wukong. Black Myth: Wukong is a long game and, on average, it will take players around 30–40 hours to complete it.
Black Myth: Wukong— Best Armor For New Game Plus
These armor sets work best in New Game+, so Black Myth: Wukong players should try to obtain them at all costs.
Players who want to get the platinum trophy, however, will have to spend a lot more time. Some of the achievements in Black Myth: Wukong are extremely hard to get because they are dependent on RNG. With that in mind, here are the hardest trophies in Black Myth: Wukong and how players can get them.
7 Urge Unfulfilled
Grade: Bronze
- Rarity: 18.8%
The Urge Unfulfilled trophy is connected to the Horse Guai's side quest. This particular NPC is encountered in the very first chapter of the game. He continues to appear in every chapter, right up until the fifth one. So, what makes this trophy difficult to acquire?
It is possible to miss this trophy if players do not talk to the Horse Guai in every chapter and exhaust all the dialogue. They must do so before jumping to the next chapter. If they go forth without doing so, the Horse Guai will not appear at the next location. Hence, they will be locked out of it. The Horse Guai's locations can be found below:
- Inside a cave near Back Hills in Chapter 1
- Under a gazebo where players will fight the Earth Wolf in Chapter 2
- Standing beside a pillar near the Mahavira Hall Keeper's Shrine
- Trapped inside a cocoon close to the Bonevault Keeper's Shrine
- Talk to him in Furnace Valley. Then beat the Keeper of the Flame Mountains. Return to the cart in Furnace Valley, and pull the whip to complete the quest.
6 A Curious Collection
Grade: Silver
- Rarity: 5.4%
Curios are special items that are scattered all over the world of Black Myth: Wukong. Each Curio has a different effect on the Destined One, so equipping the right one is necessary. Additionally, collecting all the Curios is tied to A Curious Collection trophy.
Black Myth: Wukong - 10 Best Gameplay Mods You Should Try
Black Myth: Wukong already features fantastic action combat, but even so, these excellent gameplay mods can't improve things even further.
Once again, some Curios aren't guaranteed to drop even if players beat the enemies tied to them. Since the Curios have random drops, players have to repeatedly defeat enemies and hope that they drop the item. If the enemies don't drop the item, players need to reset the area and try again.
Players can consult this guide for a comprehensive breakdown of the location of every Curio.
5 Mantled With Might
Grade: Silver
- Rarity: 4.5%
Mantled With Might is an achievement that requires players to obtain all the pieces of armor in the game. In most games, this would have been one of the easiest trophies to get. Unfortunately, it is not the same in Black Myth: Wukong.
Some pieces of armor, such as the
Venomous Armguard and the
Skull of Turtle Treasure are much harder to obtain. The Venomous Armguard is a completely missable item, and players can only obtain it if they destroy all four arms of the Venom Daoist in the first fight. Upon failing, they will have to retry in New Game+. The Skull of Turtle Treasure, on the other hand, drops randomly after beating turtle treasure enemies. There is no way to predict how many turns it will take before the item finally drops.
4 Fickle Forms
Grade: Silver
- Rarity: 6.3%
The Fickle Forms trophy requires players to find all the spells and transformations. Most of them can be obtained simply by progressing through the story, but a few are linked to side quests and beating certain bosses.
Black Myth: Wukong- 6 Things You Should Not Buy From Merchants
Black Myth: Wukong players should avoid buying these items from stores and merchants.
Players need to make sure that they explore every area thoroughly, including secret ones. These are the missable transformations in the game:
-
Violet Hail (Spell)
(beat Daoist Mi in Purple Cloud Mountain)
-
Dark Thunder
(complete Horse Guai's side quest)
The rest just require players to explore every single area without fail. Players should try to get this trophy, as the transformations and spirits will actually aid them on their journey.
3 Brewer's Bounty
Grade: Silver
- Rarity: 4.5%
To acquire the Brewer's Bounty trophy, Black Myth: Wukong players have to find all gourds, drinks, and Soaks. Now, getting gourds and drinks is not difficult, and players should be able to find them as long as they make sure to scan every single area.
The real trouble starts with Soaks. Unlike the other two things, Soaks have random drops. They cannot be obtained by beating an enemy or opening a chest. Players have to reset the area and try again. This can be done by fast traveling to another area and then returning to the necessary chapter.
2 Portraits Perfected
Grade: Gold
- Rarity: 10.2%
The Portraits Perfected trophy is linked to encountering all the characters in the game. This includes both enemies and NPCs. The reason why this trophy is so difficult to obtain is that some bosses and characters can be missed in the playthrough. For instance, players won't be able to encounter
Apramāṇa Bat after beating Yellowbrow.
The only way to gain the trophy is to make sure that players beat every single boss in Black Myth: Wukong and that they complete every side quest. It is difficult to find all the bosses and characters, which is why players should consult a guide rather than spend time exploring.
1 Final Fulfillment
Grade: Platinum
- Rarity: 4.0%
Final Fulfillment is by far the hardest trophy to obtain in Black Myth: Wukong. This is the platinum trophy that requires players to obtain all the other trophies in the game. This may seem like an easy task, but it is the farthest thing from it.
Given the fact that so many trophies in Black Myth: Wukong depend on random drops, it can be extremely frustrating to get the Final Fulfillment achievement. Players will have to spend over 45 hours trying to get this particular trophy.
