Despite not being a souls-like Black Myth: Wukong is a challenging game. The sheer amount of bosses in the game is enough to make the head spin. Thankfully, the boss fights are rewarding. So, players will always get something useful in return for beating a boss.

Some of the bosses in Black Myth: Wukong just deal physical damage, while others have special abilities to cause further problems. Their attacks can either cause burn, chill, shock, or poison to players. The simplest way to deal with them is by using different ingredients to create medicine. However, the ability isn't unlocked until chapter two of Black Myth: Wukong.

How To Unlock Medicine Crafting In Black Myth: Wukong

To obtain the skills needed to craft medicine in Black Myth: Wukong, players will need to follow these steps:

  • Start Chapter 2 and reach the Village Entrance Shrine
  • From there, go across the bridge and go to the right until you see a platform.
  • Drop down and keep running until you see a cave.
  • Go down and look towards the left. An NPC by the name of Xu Dog will be near a rock. Talk to him, and he will reveal that a toad swallowed the formulas.
  • Wrap up the conversation, then go right and finally head outside. You should be able to see the frog from above.
  • Before jumping down, make sure that you have enough HP and Gourd charges.

This amphibian foe is called Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw. It can use regular physical attacks along with strikes that can cause Shock.

Once the Shock bar is full, players will take more damage than usual.

After beating Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw, head back to the Xu Dog's location. This will successfully complete the quest and allow players to craft medicine and potions.
