Focus Points are meant to be earned and spent in combat, and your ability to manage them will play a crucial role in how quickly you take out enemies. Building and spending Focus Points is your way of dealing increased damage to enemies. However, Focus Points can only be spent when executing charged heavy attacks or charged staff stance attacks.

Focus-based heavy attacks also allow you to stagger bosses and break enemy patterns, creating openings to deal additional damage or cast powerful spells. The damage output of focus-based heavy attacks scales with the number of Focus Points you have unlocked. Charging up the Focus meter and filling out the Focus reserves, enables you to unleash powerful heavy attacks.

How To Get Focus Points In Black Myth: Wukong

Focus Points are acquired passively as you invest Spark points into the staff stance skill trees. As mentioned earlier, you begin with one Focus Point, which can be upgraded to a maximum of four. You must invest the following number of Spark points to acquire all four Focus Points:

Two Focus Points: Requires a three Spark point investment.
Three Focus Points: Requires a ten Spark point investment.
Four Focus Points: Requires a twenty Spark point investment.

While you can charge your staff and execute a heavy focus attack whenever you like, charged heavy attacks are best used to break enemy stances.

Although the quickest way to fill up your focus meter is by charging the staff, it does slow you down and leaves you vulnerable for a short duration. Incorporating a mix of light attack combos and perfect dodges are also great alternatives to generate your focus meter without having to rely solely on the staff charging system.
