Somersault Cloud is the final spell in Black Myth: Wukong that players can acquire on Mount Huaguo during the sixth chapter. This is more of a means of traversal than a spell, which is helpful in battle. Even though using the spell takes no effort, the same can not be said about acquiring it. The spell is locked behind one of the game's most challenging and tiring boss fights.

Players who want to use the Somersault Cloud in different areas will be displeased to hear that it can only be used in Mount Huaguo.

Medicine Formulas unlock recipes for Pills that can be crafted by the players. Here is how to find them all in Black Myth: Wukong.

How To Get Somersault Cloud Spell

After starting the sixth chapter, you will find yourself exploring Mount Huaguo. This is the final area in the game, with few items to collect and tons of bosses to deal with. Making your way to the first Keeper's Shrine, you will find numerous Celestial Soldier Yaoguais who serve the Court. After fighting through these enemies, you will reach the Verdant Path in the Foothills. Head straight from the Keeper's Shrine to trigger a cutscene, which initiates the boss fight with the Supreme Inspector.

Fighting the enemies to reach the Shrine is not mandatory, and you can just run past them if your Gourd is running low.

After defeating the Supreme Inspector, the game will reward you with several crafting materials and the Somersault Cloud Spell.

What Does The Spell Do

With the Somersault Cloud, you can traverse the vast green lands in Mount Huaguo more easily. As most smaller areas are inaccessible without flying to them, the spell is a necessary tool that saves you time. However, the game will not allow you to use this spell in other areas besides Mount Huaguo. Using the spell during combat is also not possible.

How To Beat Supreme Inspector

The Supreme Inspector boss fight is long, so players must stay calm and composed throughout. Apart from the boss's large health pool, he fights aggressively, giving you little time to counter-attack, and, at times, rides his unicycle around the arena, forcing you to wait. Whenever the boss goes farther away, be ready for his thrust attacks. The boss has multiple ranged projectiles, including the feathers and ground spikes, which are easy to avoid.

His melee attacks, such as the Wing Strikes, are sometimes delayed, so you must get used to their timings. As the fight becomes much more difficult in the final phase, it is best to save Mana. Do not use A Pluck of Many because of its high Mana consumption, and make do with Immobilize. Aside from using damage-enhancing pills, you can also craft the Yaksha Armor Set, which increases your damage by 25% if all pieces are equipped.

The Golden Lining Transformation, which drops from the Yellow Loong boss, can be great for this fight as his varied attacks can stagger the boss, allowing you to take out a chunk of his health bar before the transformation ends.

Throughout the fight, Zhu Bajie will also help you by attacking the boss a couple of times, which isn't that much of a help, but his healing can sometimes save your life. The final phase will begin after the boss goes down to around 30% health.

Final Phase

The final phase is where the Supreme Inspector kicks things up a notch. This phase starts with the boss grabbing and throwing you to the ground. He follows this up by creating a ring with his burning wheel, which you can not leave. Sometimes, the boss will go out of the fire to perform a thrust attack, which you can only wait out and dodge.

Supreme Inspector also does a three to four-hit combo using his sword and finishes with a delayed burning wheel attack. The boss raises the wheel for a few seconds, so wait out and dodge as the wheel comes down. The boss will also throw the same ranged projectile attacks, and you must dodge carefully, ensuring you do not touch the ring of fire.

During the final phase, the area is small, so dodging some of his attacks can be frustrating. If you feel like you are not doing enough damage, you can try using a different build or changing equipment to change the fight's outcome.

The whole of the final phase can be avoided if you use the Plantain Fan Vessel at any time during the fight while you are inside the ring. The tornado interrupts the boss, causing the ring to disappear, and the fight continues as normal.
