How To Redistribute Skill Points In Black Myth Wukong

You earn skill points naturally upon defeating enemies, but this process can be streamlined if you specifically target bosses and meditation spots. Defeating bosses drop the largest amount of XP and meditation spots are guaranteed to give you skill points.

Black Myth Wukong provides you with the freedom to invest and repurpose skill points to match specific challenges. However, the game doesn’t tell you how to respec the Destined One and change his playstyle, which can be confusing to figure out on your own.

Here’s how you respec the Monkey King in Black Myth Wukong:

Begin by fast traveling to a Keeper’s Shrine and select the Self-Advance option.
You’ll see two menus under the Self-Advance option: Set Spells and Reignite the Sparks.
Choose Reignite the Sparks to claim all invested skill points.
You can now reallocate these claimed skill points into new skill trees under the Self-Advance menu.
You don’t have to be at a Keeper’s Shrine to spend the reclaimed skill points.

You can respec the Monkey King as many times as you wish.

If an enemy happens to kill the Monkey King easily, you can consider investing some of the reclaimed skill points into health to increase the Destined One’s maximum HP. Sometimes, you may also notice that certain bosses are better fought when using spells rather than the staff, and you could benefit from upgrading a specific spell to increase its duration and damage.

However, the ability to respec the Destined One allows you to experiment with various staff stances and playstyles. You don’t have to be locked with the skills you’ve chosen in the early hours of the game, and the freedom to respec the Monkey King easily should encourage you to try out different skills and find out what works best for you.

For instance, once you get the hang of the gameplay, you may discover that you've also gotten good at incorporating spells into the combat loop. This is when you might want to reevaluate your skill points and reallocate them into your preferred skills.
