How To Beat Kang-Jin Loong In Black Myth: Wukong

Kang-Jin Loong isn't challenging due to its strength or endurance, but rather because of the difficulty in landing hits on the boss. Throughout the fight, the boss will fly around the massive ice lake, causing you to run around trying to complete even one Light Attack combo. After every attack, the boss positions its face close to the ground for a brief period. This is the perfect time to get hits, but dodging the previous attacks might land you near the dragon's body.

When given the option, focus on attacking its head, rather than its body. Due to the way it moves, attacks against its body result in quite a few missed hits.

The boss has an attack where it slams one of its talons on the ground, causing a lightning shock, and proceeds to strike with the same hand. Another excellent opportunity to get extra hits is when the boss slams its lower body at you. If you dodge this successfully, you can attack its lower body before it rises back up. Kang-Jin Loong might occasionally fly up and cause lightning strikes at multiple locations in the boss arena. These have an easy tell that you can spot on the ground and evade them quickly.

FireProof Mantle is useless in this fight, so it is better to equip the Wind Tamer Vessel you acquire after defeating Fuban in the Kingdom of Sahali.

How to Beat Kang-Jin Loong In Black Myth Wukong 2

After dealing a lot of damage and multiple focus bar attacks, you will cause the Yaoguai King to fall on the icy floor. This is the best time to use your Immobilize or A Pluck of Many combined with your Spirit Skill to take out a large chunk of the boss's health.

The Wandering Wight Spirit is one of the best Spirits to have as it increases your Defense, and if you can land it on the boss, it deals massive damage.

The Ice Breath attack is relatively easy to avoid, and all you have to do is go toward the boss and stand directly below it. The boss can perform an airborne attack if you constantly stay close to it. In this attack, it will spin around, causing you to go airborne. The boss follows this with a lightning strike or a simple claw combo.

The last attack to watch out for is the grab. Ensure your health is consistently over 50% throughout the fight; otherwise, you might die or have your health at 1% after the small cutscene ends.
