There are more than 15 bosses in Black Myth: Wukong's New West, and some players will undoubtedly be interested in fighting all of them. While fans are guaranteed to encounter many bosses as they work through Chapter 3, some of them are off the critical path. For those players who want to make sure that they do not miss any of those enemies, this guide details the location of every boss in Black Myth: Wukong's third chapter.

This guide will not spend much time covering the locations of bosses that are along the critical path. Instead, it will focus primarily on helping players find enemies that are hidden or are accessed via Black Myth: Wukong's side quests.

Black Myth Wukong: Bitter Lake Boss Locations

Cyan Loong (King)

Before players can fight this boss, they must obtain the Loong Scales. This Key Item is in a chest hidden in Black Myth: Wukong's Yellow Wind Ridge, and here is how to reach that container:

  1. Progress to the Windseal Gate Keeper's Shrine in Yellow Wind Ridge.
  2. Follow the path beyond the Keeper's Shrine to reach an arena with a decorated wall. This is the arena where players fought the First Prince of Flowing Sands.
  3. Equip the Wandering Wight Spirit, use its ability to break through the decorated wall, and pass through the crack.

After obtaining the Loong Scales in Black Myth: Wukong, players should make their way to the Turtle Island Keeper's Shrine at Brittle Lake. Fans should then walk toward the ocean, and they will find the Cyan Loong at the edge of a cliff that overlooks that body of water.

Kang-Jin Star (King)

Players will find Kang-Jin Star in an arena past the Turtle Island Keeper's Shrine.

Chen Loong (Character)

While not technically a Yaoguai Chief or King, Chen Loong has a boss-style health bar when engaged in combat, and they are thus being listed here. To find this character, players should visit the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Keeper's Shrine, position themselves so that the ocean is on their left, and follow the coast. As fans of games with lots of bosses move in this direction, they will see Chen Loong in the water near a wooden structure.

Apramana Bat (Chief)

The Apramana Bat can be found near the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Keeper's Shrine. To reach it, fans of games with RPG elements should visit the checkpoint, position themselves so that the ocean is on their right, and follow the coast into the area that is filled with large skeletons.

The Apramana Bat does not seem to appear if players progress into the latter areas within the New West. Unfortunately, there is no known way to address that issue at the time of writing.

Fans should then follow the path forward until they reach a stone obelisk, which has the Jade Essence Drink behind it. There are several plants on the ground directly in front of that obelisk, and attempting to gather one of them will initiate the fight with Old Ginseng Guai.

Captain Void-Illusion (Chief)

While players will not actually fight Captain Void-Illusion, there is a Yaoguai Chief Journal entry for them. To secure that entry, players should visit the Longevity Road Keeper's Shrine, disengage from it, and turn 90° to the right. Fans of games inspired by Chinese mythology should then walk forward until they encounter the large body of Captain Void-Illusion and then interact with it.

Captain Kalpa-Wave (Chief)
