The Prisoner is one of the many characters that have a side quest in Black Myth: Wukong. You first encounter him in Pagoda Realm, which functions and looks like a prison. He tells the Destined One to stay where they are and not cause trouble.
The initial conversation is extremely limited as there is a barrier stopping you from entering his cell in Black Myth: Wukong. The real side quest begins after you find a way to break the gate and talk with the prisoner directly.

Players must first complete a side quest before unlocking the Azure Dust Transformation Spell in Black Myth: Wukong.
How To Trigger Prisoner Quest In Black Myth: Wukong
Upon being thrown into the Pagoda Realm, get out of your cell and walk a few steps to find the Prisoner’s cell with a purple seal. Exhaust his dialogue and then players must proceed to the second floor of the Pagoda Realm through exploration. After activating the Upper Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine, turn around and jump down the cliff onto a red roof. Drop to the ground to find the first required Captain Spirit for this quest, which is Captain Lotus-Vision, a hidden boss.
Defeating them is pretty simple, as the boss always uses the same moves and doesn’t move around that much. Once Captain Lotus-Vision is defeated, claim its spirits and return to the Prisoner to start the real quest.
Captain Spirits Location In Black Myth: Wukong
Once you break the previously sealed door and talk with the Prisoner face-to-face, he’ll ask if you can find the remaining Captains and put an end to their misery. It will take a while to find the remaining three Captains as they are located in different areas.
Captain Wise-Voice
Captain Wise-Voice is not an optional boss, as players must fight it to progress with the story. You will find it after climbing to the top of the Pagoda Realm and arriving at the Mani Wheel Keeper’s Shrine. Entering the boss room triggers a small cutscene.
To defeat Captain Wise-Voice, the Destined One needs to keep hitting it repeatedly until the boss falls to the ground and exposes its weak point. The Captain is tanky and does some AoE attacks, so be careful. Make sure to take the Spirit after the fight.
Captain Void-Illusion
The next Captain is located in the Valley of Ecstasy. You need to progress through many areas and defeat some bosses until you unlock the Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine.
From the Shrine, turn right and run past an enemy, then turn right again to find the carcass of Captain Void-Illusion. Interact with it to take the Spirit.
Captain Kalpa-Wave
Similar to the Captain Wise-Voice, Captain Kalpa-Wave is also a necessary boss to complete the Destined One’s journey. You can reach the boss from the Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine in the Valley of Ecstasy. Run to the end of the big arena full of petrified enemies while sticking to the right side. Climb the stairs and proceed ahead to find Captain Kalpa-Wave. Defeat them and collect their soul.
Once all Spirits Captains have been obtained, return to the Prisoner in Lower Pagoda and hand them over. He thanks players immensely and rewards them with the 
Chubai Spearhead item to craft weapons as well as other valuable materials.
How To Craft The Chu Bai Spear In Black Myth: Wukong

The Chu-Bai Spear is an Epic weapon with a 75 Attack stat. It has the unique effect of buffing Thrust Stance damage as well as the Light Attack Combo. To craft it, you will need:
- Chubai Spearhead x1: Given by the Prisoner at the end of his quest.
- Refined Iron Sand x4: Found through opening chests, killing certain enemies, and from the Store.
- Yaoguai Core x8: Same as Refined Iron Sand.
- Will x21,000: Obtained through multiple methods like defeating enemies, opening chests, collecting green flames, and destroying pots.
