Spirits in Black Myth: Wukong are Skills players can use to deal damage or increase their damage output. There are a lot of Spirits in the game, each with a different attack and passive effect when equipped.
These Spirits are not hard to find and require Qi to use. This Qi can take time to restore. However, there is a build that utilizes one of the Armor sets and other equipment to make the Spirit Skill available within seconds after use. This allows the player to build up Focus relatively quickly and easily defeat every boss.
Black Myth Wukong: Best Weapons For Smash Stance Build
The best Smash Stance build weapons in Black Myth: Wukong range from Rare to Mythical, with the top picks available in New Game+.
Best Equipment For Unlimited Spirit Skill Build
Weapon Choices
Your main goal is to output the most damage you can. Because of this, there are no restrictions on the weapon you choose, and you can choose the most damaging weapon you have. If you are at the late game or in your NG+ run, the
Jingubang Staff and
Tri-Point Double-Edged Spear are the best options. Both have a 6% Critical Hit Chance and an Attack of 135. The Jingubang, even without the Sun Wukong armor, is still one of the best weapons in the game because of its passive, which doesn't cause the Focus to drop on the last level.
Near the end of the NG+ run, you can acquire the Dark Iron Staff, which increases your Attack based on your Defence, making it a viable choice if you have increased your Defense in the Skill Tree and have a fully upgraded Armor set.
Vessel, Spirit, and Armor
The
Weaver's Needle is the best choice for the Vessel, as it increases Critical Hit Chance and Critical Damage when equipped. For the Spirit, you must defeat the Non-Able boss who drops his Spirit to use. This Spirit has a Low Qi cost and moderately increases Attack, Critical Hit Chance, and Critical Damage. Because of the Low Qi cost, recovering the Qi and using this Spirit Skill again is much easier.
For this build to work, players must craft the Golden Armor, accessible during the fourth chapter in Black Myth: Wukong. Its 2-piece bonus increases damage after performing a Spirit Skill or using Vessel, and its 4-piece bonus grants Qi on Critical Hits and defeats. The constant chain of using the Spirit Skill increases your damage, making this a build powerhouse. The
Golden Mask of Fury (headgear) also has a separate passive, giving Focus whenever you revert from your Spirit form.
Curios, Gourds, and Drinks
Curios is a problematic field as none of them boost Qi recovery, but the
Amber Prayer Beads do increase the speed of building Focus, which is a good bonus. The
Beast Buddha is a farmable Curio that drops from enemies and can increase your Critical Hit Damage. As you can acquire multiple of these, it is best to farm and equip them.
White Seashell Waist Chain is an alternative to increase Attack if you do not have many Beast Buddhas.
When it comes to the Gourd and Drinks, players can use a mix of defensive and Focus restoration. The
Supreme Gourd gives 10 Sips, making it a great choice alongside the
Jade Dew, which restores a whopping 55% health on every sip. Otherwise, you can still go for any of the Drinks that suit your style better. For the Soaks, the
Tiger Relic and
Steel Ginseng are a must. The gain in Focus and increased Critical Hit Chance synergize well with the armor's 4-piece bonus.
Black Myth Wukong: Best Secret Bosses, Ranked
Black Myth: Wukong has several hidden boss fight for players to find. Among them, these are the ones that stand out.
Best Skills For Unlimited Spirit Skill Build
Focused Spinning is the bread and butter for this build. Most enemies get constantly staggered throughout the animation, and the consecutive hits grant Qi at an enormous rate and Focus. In terms of Stance, players can go with any they are comfortable with, as this build does not lean towards any Stance in particular.
A good way to farm some extra levels is by equipping the Ashen Slumber Transformation and going to the right of the Pool of Shattered Jade Keeper's Shrine in Webbed Hollow and self-destructing, killing all the hostile cocoons in the area for a good amount of experience and Will.
Following are some of the Skills that you should get:
- Wrathful Escalation
- Wrathful Might
- Focused Spinning
- Deadly Dance
General Strategy For Unlimited Spirit Skill Build
For boss fights, you must use enhancing pills that you can buy from Xu-Dog. The primary strategy will be to use the Mobile Spin to constantly move towards the enemy, chipping at their health bar and ultimately increasing Qi and Focus. The Spirit Skill is available every 5 seconds if you keep getting hits in. You must spam the Spirit Skill on cooldown and use the four Focus points for a devastating Heavy Blow to the enemy. The Deadly Dance on the Thust Stance is an excellent choice as all you need to do is dodge, followed by a Heavy Attack, and it instantly performs the attack. There is no windup before the attack 90% of your four-bar Focus attack will hit.
Even in boss fights, if you are playing on NG+ with the second perk "Unified Mind" of the "
Freed Mind" Relic active, you can watch your clones perform the same four-bar focus attack numerous times. If your
A Pluck of Many is also upgraded in the Skill Tree your clones will also use Spells like
Immobilize to keep the boss at bay while you use the Spirit Skill a dozen more times.
Transformations are not needed for regular fights, but good choices for boss fights are
Golden Lining and
Red Tides. Not only are these Transformations agile, but dodging out of potential powerful blows is also easy for the players. Red Tides is acquired very early on in the first chapter, so that might be the prime choice for most players. However, using a Heavy Attack during a Light Attack combo and getting hit in the Golden Lining will grant a Focus point and negate the damage you receive. This way, you can time your Heavy Attacks to take no damage throughout your Transformation and perform a powerful three-focus bar attack.
One thing to remember is that players can still take damage during the Spirit Skill animation, so be careful whenever you are lower than 50% health. Bosses who have hard-hitting attacks can kill you even in Spirit form.
