Guangzhi is one of the first Yaoguai Chief mini-bosses you’ll encounter in Black Myth: Wukong. He’s a large wolf-like creature with a flaming spear that deals fire damage. The fight against Guangzhi is challenging, but defeating him rewards players with a powerful transformation spell. This spell lets you transform into Guangzhi temporarily and gives you access to his abilities and health pool.
After defeating Guangzhi in Black Myth: Wukong, many players wonder where they should go next. Since Black Myth: Wukong gives you the freedom to explore the world at your own pace, here’s what you should do after beating the Guangzhi mini-boss.
Black Myth: Wukong— How To Use Photo Mode
Capture your best moments in Black Myth: Wukong with the Photo Mode.
Ring The Bell
The first thing you should do after beating Guangzhi in the Forest Of Wolves is to ring the bell he’s guarding. This is supposedly the first of the three bells scattered across the Black Wind Mountain. Ringing all three bells will unlock Chapter 1’s secret area and teleport you to an area where you can fight a secret Yaoguai King Boss.
Right after defeating Guangzhi, you’ll be able to enter the area and ring the bell to progress the story.
Take Down The Wandering Wight
From the ‘ Outside of the Forest’ Shrine, follow the main path until you find a lone enemy near a low bridge. Defeat this enemy and cross the bridge to find the
Wandering Wight, a green creature with an extra large head. He’ll be roaming around the clearing, guarding the entrance to a tunnel.
The Wandering Wight is an optional miniboss in Black Myth: Wukong. You can choose to fight him or sneak around him to reach the tunnel at the back. While not mandatory to progress the story, defeating the Wandering Wight rewards you with valuable items, including a new transformation ability.
Due to his powerful AoE attacks and fast speed, the Wandering Wight can be a challenging opponent. If you prefer to avoid combat, maintain a safe distance and quickly move past him when his back is turned.
Head To The Guanyin Temple
Once you've defeated Guangzhi and explored the area thoroughly, you can simply walk through the tunnel, regardless of whether you've defeated the Wandering Wight. Head towards the far end of the area and cross the old wooden platform running along the cliff edge. Defeat the enemies there to reach the abandoned Guanyin Temple. The story will continue, and you'll find a new shrine to activate.
At the Guanyin Temple, prepare to face a boss called Lingxuzi, the Wolf demon. The fight against Lingxuzhi is manageable, especially if you've unlocked Guangzhi's transformation ability. This spell lets you morph into Guangzhi and gives you an advantage with fire damage and a new health bar.
