The
Yellow Loong is a secret Yaoguai King in Black Myth: Wukong, and they can be found in the Webbed Hollow, the location at the center of the game's fourth chapter. Players will need to do some preliminary work before they can fight the Yellow Loong, though, and then they will need to locate the boss. This guide is here to detail that process in its entirety, and it will help players find the Yellow Loong in Black Myth: Wukong.
The aforementioned "preliminary work" is defeating the Red, Black, and Cyan Loongs, and players who have already beaten those bosses should feel free to skip to this guide's final section.
Black Myth Wukong: Treasure Hunter Quest Guide (Chapter 3 Secret Boss)
This guide will help players complete the treasure hunter's quest and find the Green-Capped Martialist, a secret boss in Black Myth: Wukong.
Black Myth Wukong: Yellow Loong Location
Get Loong Scales (Yellow Wind Ridge)
The first step toward finding the Yellow Loong is obtaining the
Loong Scales from a hidden chest in Yellow Wind Ridge. Players can access that chest by traveling to the Windseal Gate Keeper's Shrine in Yellow Wind Formation and then following these steps:
- Follow the path beyond the Windseal Gate Keeper's Shrine to reach a rope bridge.
- Climb the stairs that are beyond that bridge, and veer right when it is possible to do so.
- Pass through the ornate metal doors, and fall into the arena that is beyond them.
- Equip the Wandering Wight Spirit, and use its ability to crack the decorated wall in the arena.
- Pass through the crack.
Find & Beat Red Loong (Black Wind Mountain)
With the
Loong Scales in hand, players should return to Black Wind Mountain. More specifically, fans of games inspired by Chinese mythology should go to the Outside the Forest Keeper's Shrine in the Forest of Wolves and then follow these steps:
- Follow the path beyond the Outside the Forest Keeper's Shine, and go left at the fork.
- Follow the path, and veer left at the chest.
- Follow the path, and go left to access a water-filled area.
- Interact with the point in front of the waterfall, and pass through the gap that is revealed.
Players will now find themselves in a hidden arena, and they should set their sights on defeating Black Myth: Wukong's Red Loong.
Find & Beat Black Loong (Yellow Wind Ridge)
Players should now make their way to the Rockrest Flat Keeper's Shrine, which is located within Yellow Wind Ridge's Fright Cliff. Fans should then climb the stairs to the right of the Keeper's Shrine, interact with the point in front of the falling sand, and enter the arena that is revealed. Here, players will encounter the Black Loong, and they must defeat this Yellow Wind Ridge boss in Black Myth: Wukong.
Find & Beat Cyan Loong (The New West)
It is now time to travel to the Turtle Island Keeper's Shrine, which is located within the New West's Bitter Lake. From that checkpoint, players should move toward the cliffs that overlook the large body of water, and they will find the Cyan Loong at the edge. Finding this New West boss in Black Myth: Wukong is not enough, though, as fans must beat them if they hope to battle the Yellow Loong.
Go to Relief of the Fallen Loong (Webbed Hollow)
Once the Red, Black, and Cyan Loongs are defeated, players must make their way to the Relief of the Fallen Loong Keeper's Shrine in Webbed Hollow. To reach that checkpoint, fans of action games should progress along the critical path until they find the Cliff of Oblivion Keeper's Shrine in Webbed Hollow. For full clarity, this shrine is directly next to the corridor where players will encounter
Buddha's Right Hand, and here are the steps that they should take to travel from it to the Relief of the Fallen Loong Keeper's Shrine:
-
Go left from the Cliff of Oblivion Keeper's Shrine, passing through the corridor where the battle with
Buddha's Right Hand
occurred.
- Cross the inert arm, and drop from the wooden platform that is beyond it.
- Turn right, follow the path to reach a wooden platform that overlooks a rope bridge, and drop from it.
- Cross the rope bridge, and follow the path to reach a narrow metal beam.
-
Use
Cloud Step
to easily cross the beam.
- Follow the path to reach the Relief of the Fallen Loong Keeper's Shrine.
After reaching the Relief of the Fallen Loong Keeper's Shrine, Black Myth: Wukong players must simply continue following the path. Indeed, a cinematic will begin as soon as fans approach the nearby gazebo, and they will battle the Yellow Loong as soon as that cinematic concludes.
