Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is often seen as the definitive Zombies experience, beating out previous entries and modern successors due to its incredible selection of maps, fun gameplay loop, and story. Outside of the vanilla and DLC selection of Black Ops 3 Zombies maps, there's a passionate community that makes custom maps, all of which can be found on Steam Workshop for PC players to enjoy. Below, we've listed some of our favorite custom Zombies maps in Black Ops 3 to be enjoyed in 2025 before players check out Black Ops 7 Zombies on November 14.
Remakes of classic COD Zombies maps, like Mob of the Dead, are extremely impressive, but will not be included.

Halle Der Toten is unrelenting with its undead hordes, and with a pure survival experience at the ready, players will want to come back here for more so that they can feel the familiar yet different blend that meshes classics like Kino Der Toten and Nacht Der Untoten with its own unique identity for a larger-scale map.
Vae Victis
A Familiar Yet Innovative Celebration of Zombies Set in the Dark Aether
- Mod Link
- Created by: Spence, Ammy, Roaches in your skin, ih8mondays57
- File Size: 12.770 GB
While Black Ops 4 attempted to move on from old threads, fans adore the storyline and the crews so much, which is why Vae Victis is such a welcome addition. This map is like an epilogue to Black Ops 4, where Victis are trapped in the Dark Aether and forced to figure out a way to get home. Vae Victis isn't just impressive for its main quest and story threads, but it also impresses with its innovation and layout. In a way, Vae Victis feels like a sequel to Revelations, as so many areas are familiar, with ties to classic spots that bind together to make an ambitious map that feels like Outbreak, albeit with new mechanics and weapons against familiar enemies. Vae Victis is as close as players will get to an entirely new experience, and it's worth jumping in to see old classics with an innovative twist.
