Reckoning Aetherella Companion Easter Egg Guide in Black…

Season 5 of Black Ops 6 brings a wave of brand-new content updates across all modes. Multiplayer fans get a fresh lineup of battlegrounds, from Exchange to W.M.D., along with new modes and events set to roll out throughout the season. But it’s Black Ops 6 Zombies’ Reckoning that truly steals the spotlight.

Reckoning has finally arrived in Black Ops 6 Zombies after being teased in Grief during Season 4. Serving as the conclusion to the Black Ops 6 Zombies saga, the map takes players through a lengthy main Easter Egg quest. However, those looking to slow down and explore can find plenty of side Easter Eggs, including one that grants Aetherella as a companion. Here’s how to make Aetherella your ally in Reckoning.

Step #1: Activate Pack-a-Punch, Get the Gorgofex, & Shoot Aetherella

Gorgofex Reckoning Black Ops 6 Zombies-1

Before starting the Easter Egg, players will need to activate Pack-a-Punch and then obtain the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon. There are two ways to get the Gorgofex. The first is by pulling it from the Mystery Box. Though this relies on luck, players can improve their chances of getting it from the box by using the Wonderbar! GobbleGum. The second method is to complete a quest in the Reckoning that guarantees the Gorgofex by defeating the Forsaken. For a full step-by-step on the guaranteed method, see our dedicated guide.

Once Pack-a-Punch is activated, and you have the Gorgofex, head to T1 Project Janus Reception (spawn area) and go to the zombie spawn just left of the Rampage Inducer. Use any spray on the bathroom stall door on the left to open it and reveal an Aetherella figurine. Charge a shot with the Gorgofex by holding the fire button, then shoot Aetherella. Once done, she will start floating and follow you.

Step #2: Place Aetherella into the Particle Accelerator's Beam

With Aetherella following you, head to T2 Sublevel 10. Jump into the particle accelerator’s beam, just like in the main Easter Egg. This will send Aetherella into the beam, thus completing the second step of the Easter Egg.

Step #3: Enter the Particle Accelerator's Beam & Hit Aetherella

To complete the final step of the Easter Egg, jump into the particle accelerator’s beam as you did before to turn into an orb. From here, avoid all other objects along the beam’s path, then bump into Aetherella to send her out of the beam.

Once done, Aetherella will begin following you again, only this time, she will fire laser beams in the direction you are looking, similar to the Aetherella trap in Liberty Falls. These beams deal damage to zombies and other enemies alike, making her a neat companion to try out against different enemy types.
