Verdansk has finally made its highly anticipated return in Season 3 with the Black Ops 6 integration into Warzone, bringing back the classic battlefield—now fully upgraded for the current generation of Warzone. Alongside Verdansk’s return, a host of additional content updates return, aiming to recapture the experience of the original Warzone during Modern Warfare’s run.

Additional weaponry is just part of the content players can grind through in Season 3, featuring blasts from the past like the HDR Sniper Rifle and the Kilo 141 Assault Rifle. However, melee enthusiasts can also look forward to the return of the Kali Sticks. Unlike the other weapons, though, they cannot be unlocked through the Battle Pass. Here’s how to get them.

How To Unlock The Kali Sticks In Black Ops 6 & Warzone

The Kali Sticks serve as the Mastery Reward for the Return to Verdansk event in Warzone. To unlock them, players must first claim all 13 rewards associated with the event. Some of these rewards will be unlocked right away, whereas others are earned by opening hidden safes scattered throughout different regions of Verdansk in Warzone, with each reward being tied to a particular region of Verdansk.

There are 12 safes to locate, each containing its own unique reward. Players can track their event progress via the Tac Map in the Event menu within the main lobby. For a full breakdown of every safe location, check out our dedicated Return to Verdansk guide.

Once players have unlocked all 13 Return to Verdansk rewards by opening the hidden safes, they will receive the Kali Sticks. These can then be equipped in the dedicated melee slot of players' loadouts for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

The Return to Verdansk Event ends on April 15 at 10 AM PT. After the event concludes, the Kali Sticks will become an Armory Unlock for players who have not yet obtained them.

How Good Are The Kali Sticks In Black Ops 6 & Warzone?

The Kali Sticks function similarly to other melee weapons in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, particularly in their ability to boost movement speed when equipped. However, each melee weapon has distinct stat differences across both games.

The Kali Sticks deal 90 body damage and 135 headshot damage, making them an average two-hit kill in Multiplayer and a three-hit kill against fully armored opponents in Warzone—unless players press the aim button to perform a one-hit kill .

With a notably fast melee speed—quicker than heavier options like the Skateboard and Baseball Bat—the Kali Sticks allow players to land those crucial hits rapidly, making them an excellent choice, particularly in Warzone.
