Season 5 for Black Ops 6 is definitely shaping up to be a content-heavy launch after the content drought brought with the release of Season 4 Reloaded. In Season 5, Multiplayer fans can grind through the Battle Pass to unlock two new weapons, battle it out in modes like Snipers Only and Aim High, and jump into a roster of maps, including a remake of W.M.D.
However, the highlight of Season 5's content has to be Reckoning, the final Zombies map that fans can enjoy until the debut of Black Ops 7. This map has it all, from challenging enemy types to an excellent layout and a series of Easter Eggs that rival those on the maps before it. Here is every Easter Egg you can complete on Reckoning in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Best Meta Loadouts for COD Black Ops 6 Season 5
Black Ops 6 Season 5 brings new weapons into the fray, shaking up the meta once again. Here are the best loadouts for Black Ops 6 Season 5.
Reckoning Main Quest
First up, and arguably the biggest draw for Reckoning, is its main Easter Egg Quest. Players jumping into the Main Quest are in for a ride, as it is filled with puzzling steps, codes to decipher, and HVT targets to take down, all before culminating in a final decision: either aid S.A.M. In her efforts to become human, or follow Richtofen’s plan to defeat S.A.M. And bring back his family. Whatever choice players make will affect the boss they face, as well as the ending they receive once it is complete.
While the steps leading up to the Main Quest are not the most difficult compared to other maps, each boss fight is definitely challenging. For a full walkthrough on how to complete Reckoning's Main Quest, head to this guide here.
Getting the Gorgofex
While players can get the Wonder Weapon through the Mystery Box and completely skip it, there is also a side quest that allows players to get the Gorgofex. To do this, players will need to decipher a code to open the T1 Bioweapons Lab, fill up a cyst with zombie souls, take said cyst to the T1 Quantum Computing Core to charge it further, and then merge the Forsaken into an Uber Klaus before ultimately defeating him to acquire it.
If this all sounds a little complicated, that would be because it is. For a more detailed breakdown of how to get the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon, check out our dedicated guide here.
Upgrading the Gorgofex
While acquiring the Gorgofex is integral to certain steps of the main Easter Egg quest, upgrading the Gorgofex is entirely optional, but it does offer players some pretty cool upgrades. Upgrading the Gorgofex is a choice-based side quest that, depending on the choices they make, will determine whether players get the Gorgofex C or the Gorgofex N.
For a detailed breakdown of how to get either upgrade, head to this guide here.
Free Power-Ups
Moving on to full-blown side Easter Eggs separate from the main quest, we have the Reckoning's free Power-Ups. Much like the previous maps in Black Ops 6 Zombies, players can find seven free Power-Ups in the Reckoning, and upon collecting them all, an eighth Fire Sale Power-Up will spawn for players to grab.
These free Power-Ups can be super useful, as players can shoot them to activate right away or place a C4 on them and detonate whenever needed. For a full breakdown of the Power-Up locations, head here.
Target Easter Egg (Free Ammo Mod, Aether Tool, & Pack-a-Punch Crystal)
This next Easter Egg may be the best one in Black Ops 6 yet. To complete it, start by turning on the power to activate the Pack-a-Punch Machine. From here, head back to spawn at the T1 Project Janus Reception. At the center of the reception, players can find a Project Janus logo on the floor, followed by a monitor displaying the same image on a desk just in front of it. Stand on the logo and shoot the screen.
From here, players will enter a shooting range-type minigame, where they need to shoot a series of targets around the room while remaining on the logo. This step is timed, with a timer displayed on the desk where the monitor was found. Players simply need to shoot all the targets to earn a reward. This can be repeated after a new round, each time increasing in difficulty, to claim a maximum of three rewards.
Here are the rewards players can get:
- First completion: Random Ammo Mod
-
Second completion: Aether Tool
- Uncommon for Rounds 1-5
- Rare for Rounds 6-10
- Epic for Rounds 11-20
- Legendary for Rounds 21 and above
-
Third completion: Pack-a-Punch Aetherium Crystal
- Tier I for Rounds 1-15
- Tier II for Rounds 16 and above
Easter Egg Songs
Next up is the Reckoning's own Easter Egg song, which can be triggered by finding and interacting with three separate Mr. Peeks Headphones. Each one can be found in various locations around the map, and once players interact with every one, "Remember Us" by Kevin Sherwood, featuring Elena Siegman will play. For a full breakdown of where to find each headset, visit our dedicated guide here.
However, that is not the only music Easter Egg, as players can trigger a second one to play. To get "Samantha's Peace" to play, players need to run through the metal detectors at the T1 Janus Reception in a specific order. The sequence is as follows: 1, 3, 2, 1, 3, 2. If you are unsure which metal detectors correspond to a particular number, refer to the provided image.
Mister Peeks Easter Egg (Free Perk)
Mister Peeks returns in this next Easter Egg, which rewards players with a free Perk upon completion. To start, head to the T1 Executive Suite and look down from the balcony. Near the bottom of the tower's center, players will find Mr. Peeks. Shoot him to bring him up to the balcony. From there, interact with him, and he will fly down to the T1 Janus Reception, leaving a trail of hoops behind. Simply jump down and parachute through every hoop to collect 1,000 Essence and a free Random Perk Power-Up.
Pool Ball Easter Egg (Free Self-Revive Kit)
In need of a Self-Revive Kit but do not have enough Salvage to craft one? Be sure to head on over to the T1 Director's Office and locate a stack of pool balls mounted on the wall on the far side of the room. From here, shoot the following numbers: 1, 1, 5. Each ball will fall off the shelf and, once all three are shot, a free Self-Revive Kit will drop onto the pool table in front.
Free Deadshot Daiquiri Easter Egg
This next Easter Egg rewards players with a free Deadshot Daiquiri Perk. Start by heading to the T1 Mutant Test Research Area, just by the Ammo Depot near the T1 Bioweapons Lab. From here, shoot the head of the target dummy by the broken wall (or stand in the corner in the T1 Mutant Research Lab and shoot the second target dummy) until you hear a sound cue.
Next, turn away from the T1 Mutant Research Lab and, from the T1 Mutant Test Research Area, look at the crane. Four Deadshot Daiquiri Perk Cans should now be visible. Simply shoot each can one after the other without missing a shot to be awarded a free Deadshot Daiquiri Perk.
Aetherella Easter Egg
While Aetherella is a character featured pretty prominently on Liberty Falls, players can actually get her as an ally in the Reckoning by completing a really quick side Easter Egg. Once complete, Aetherella will follow the player around, firing lasers at zombies and other enemies alike. To complete this Easter Egg, do the following:
- Acquire the Gorgofex.
- Use a Spray on the cubicle door in the zombie spawn by the Rampage Inducer at the T1 Project Janus Reception.
- Fire a charged shot using the Gorgofex at the now revealed Aetherella figurine.
- Head to the T2 Sublevel 10 and jump into the particle accelerator's beam to send Aetherella into it.
- Exit the beam and jump back in, bumping into Aetherella to complete the Easter Egg.
Chicken Bucket Easter Egg
This next secret may not offer an actual reward, but it can be a fun little Easter Egg to try out with friends. To complete the Chicken Bucket Easter Egg, head to the T1 Executive Suite and throw a grenade at the chicken bucket in the cafeteria. Next, collect the six pieces of chicken scattered around the room. From here, if players head back to the bucket and interact with it, it will be placed onto their heads.
For more information on the locations of each chicken piece, head to this guide here.
Golden Trash Can Easter Egg
This next Easter Egg offers players the ability to rack up some high-tier loot without much effort at all. To complete it, players will need to find and interact with different trash cans, some of which will drop loot while others won't. These trash cans can be found in the following locations:
- Opposite the Aether Elevator leading to the T1 Quantum Computing Core in the T1 Project Janus Reception
- Just opposite the Quick Revive Perk Machine
- Opposite the teleporter near Quick Revive
- Just to the left of the zombie spawn where you can find Aetherella
- Just to the right of the Jugger-Nog Perk Machine
- Found just to the left upon taking the Anti-Grav Personnel Launcher to the T1 Executive Suite
- By the door where Blanchard can be found
- To the left of the Ammo Depot in the T1 Executive Suite
- To the far left of the SVD Wall-Buy in the T1 Executive Suite
- To the left of the portal leading to the T1 Project Janus Reception within the Director's Office
Once you have found and interacted with each trash can, head back to the T1 Project Janus Reception. Just by the metal detectors, players should find a final trash can, now glowing gold, which rewards players with loot upon interacting with it.
Jumpscare Easter Egg
This next Easter Egg is a quick one, but it’s definitely a fun way to troll your friends. To do it, head to the T1 Executive Suite and, just to the left of the Anti-Grav Personnel Launcher, look off into the distance to spot a picnic blanket. From here, simply aim at the blanket, preferably with a Sniper Scope, to trigger the jumpscare.
Vending Machine Easter Egg
This next Easter Egg is a carryover from Liberty Falls. If players head over to the T2 Android Assembly, they can find a vending machine just opposite the buildable Franken-Klaus. If players melee it each round, it will drop loot items like Salvage, Essence, and potentially a free Perk or Aetherium Crystals. Grabbing Melee Macchiato and destroying the vending machine with its melee will also drop even more loot.
Aether Blade Easter Egg
Rounding out the Easter Eggs for the Reckoning is the ability to obtain the Aether Blade, which requires players to unlock the Mister Peeks Field Upgrade from the '90s Action Heroes Event. To get it, players will need to find three paintings scattered throughout the map and then take them over to the room with the Arsenal in the T1 Director's Office.
Here, place each painting into the designated spots. Then get a Safe Key by detonating an RC-XD in the vent at T2 Dark Entity Containment, and then shooting the crystals that appear on The Forsaken's containment cell. From here, head to the painting to the right of the portal to Pack-a-Punch and activate the Mister Peeks Field Upgrade to reveal a safe, which can then be opened with the key acquired earlier to get the Aether Blade.
