Combat Specialties are reliant on using the same perks from the colored categories of Enforcer, Recon, and Strategist. Each of the three Combat Specialty advantages that players will obtain can easily provide them with great power over their opponents if they know how to utilize it.

3 Strategist

The Strategist Combat Specialty will provide players who use the Strategist perks with further bonuses and advantages to their equipment, and disadvantages for enemy equipment. Players will be able to deploy their equipment faster, which will greatly benefit those who rely on lethal and tactical equipment. The same can be said for Field Upgrades, allowing for a greater use of abilities that will truly change the tide of war for a player with a more tactical loadout with plenty of gadgets.

Strategist isn’t just about the player’s controlled equipment, as players will also be able to earn more scores for destroying enemy equipment and claiming objectives so that they can gain scorestreaks faster. This really benefits those using the Dispatcher Perk in Slot 2, as being able to constantly call in non-lethal scorestreaks will benefit the player by providing support to the team.
Players who use Strategist will benefit from close-range and medium-range maps, as they will be able to see Equipment through walls to stop themselves from getting killed by a hiding mine, or a Trophy System that is destroying their grenades. Since Strategist benefits score from objectives, it's best used in heavy-objective modes like Hardpoint and Domination.

For players who enjoy a ruthless playstyle, the Enforcer Combat Specialty may be the one for them. Along with Enforcer perks that all aid in quick playstyles that focus on aggressive and close-quarter fights, the Combat Specialty itself provides rewards for those who won’t stop their killing spree, furthering their gains and pressure on the enemy team.
The Enforcer Combat Specialty gives players a movement speed buff upon killing an enemy, and their health regen rate will also increase, much like a Zombies player using Stamin-Up and Quick Revive. It’s great to be rewarded for a vicious playstyle, especially with the right loadouts ready to go against enemy teams.
The Enforcer Combat Specialty benefits from close-range maps and objective-based game modes where players are constantly in the middle of a fight. It essentially works as a low-powered Stim from the Tactical Equipment, so if players want to play aggressively and get shot at while surviving just in time for another gunfight, then Enforcer might be the one to choose, especially since the Enforcer Perks are all dedicated to aggressive play.

- Enemies can be seen through walls for a short time after respawn; a HUD edge indicator flashes when an enemy is outside your view; leave no death skulls when killing enemies.
Recon is a decent enough Combat Specialty, and it will really benefit players who like to take a stealthy approach and those who get killed by their enemies far more frequently than they would like. As such, Recon will allow them to see enemies through walls temporarily upon respawning, which will really negate the surprise that campers will try to utilize against those more unfamiliar players.
For stealth players, there are no more death skulls when enemies are killed, which can provide a quick clean-up as players navigate behind enemy lines, leading to surprises from the enemy team as they come across the grim reaper that is making waves through their team. However, Recon’s biggest problem is that it relies rather heavily on players dying, but those who die and can see through walls can have a pretty strong run for their next life.
Due to Recon's ability to briefly see enemies through walls upon their respawn, it benefits closed-off maps like Nuketown to really understand where enemies might be waiting. Recon also benefits from players who suffer under the effects of enemy scorestreaks, as Cold-Blooded and Ghost will both negate the effects of UAVs, CUAVs, and AI-controlled scorestreaks that might otherwise cause a loop of death.
