The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player base is not happy with the price of Squid Game skins, and they’re airing their opinion on the matter. Black Ops 6’s collaboration with the hit Netflix series has produced blueprints, skins, and game modes currently on offer during the Squid Game event and live in Warzone, Multiplayer, and round-based Zombies. The event is expected to end on Friday, January 24 at 1pm EST / 10am PST / 6pm GMT.
Black Ops 6 was first released in October 2024 and serves as the 21st main entry in the Call of Duty franchise, in addition to being the seventh game in the Black Ops series. Black Ops 6 and Warzone’s Squid Game event has a long list of rewards up for grabs, including the Squid Game Emblem, the Tic-Tac-Die background, and the Do, Not, Move Calling Card, and the Event Pass rewards are themed after the second season of the live-action series.
Annoying Black Ops 6 Zombies Bug is Still Broken Despite 'Fix'
It seems a particularly annoying Black Ops 6 Zombies bug has not been fixed, despite appearing in the patch notes of a recent update.
Posted on Reddit by mrdonut101, a screenshot of the Squid Game skins was posted on the Black Ops 6 subreddit, captioned with a valid point about its pricing. The user highlighted that it costs 2800 COD Points to purchase Operators on the same faction, which is a steep price considering you can’t use them more than one at a time. Despite it being relatively simple to obtain the Black Ops 6 Squid Game Operator skins, most found it baffling to pay that amount for the Squid Game 2: Pink Guards Tracer Pack through the store, which includes the iconic pink guard outfit, and three different shape variants, in addition to themed content designed to customize players' weaponry.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Criticize Cost of Squid Game Tracer Pack
Black Ops 6 players were previously concerned that the Front Man skin was a pay-to-win, similar to Modern Warfare's Roze skin, and the backlash has now risen against the Tracer Pack. Most agreed the Tracer Pack was heavily overpriced, with frustration at the developers following close behind, and several players fully intended to purchase the cosmetic bundle until they saw the price was 800 to 1000 more coins than other skins.
Fans of the shooter franchise were also concerned Black Ops 6’s Squid Game event continued a worrying trend for zombies, regarding a streak of LTMs, like Dead Light, Green Light, performing under par. Despite the collaboration between the popular shooter and the hit Netflix series being intriguing, players believe the event leaves much to be desired and improved upon for future events.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
