While the return of the Wunderwaffe DG-2 might be celebrated, it’s not without its disappointments, for this weapon in Black Ops 6 Zombies is exclusive to Shattered Veil, and can only be obtained through one specific way, which might not excite players compared to the modern tradition of crafting Wonder Weapons. How to Get a Free Wunderwaffe DG-2 in Shattered Veil

Players can get the Wunderwaffe DG-2 in Shattered Veil for free if they complete a side easter egg, which is relatively straightforward, but requires quite a powerful set of weapons. To start, players will need to have obtained the Ray Gun Mark 2:

For a quick rundown on how to get the Ray Gun Mark 2, players can either spin the Mystery Box or follow the steps below:

Kill a Lab Technician on/after Round 10 in the Mainframe Chamber for the Floppy Disk.
Interact with the computer by the fax machine in the East Foyer with the Floppy Disk.
Memorise the four-letter code from the fax machine.
Translate the four-letter code at the blackboard in the Nursery, which is easily solved by finding the first letter in your code within the blackboard and counting the total letters within that chain, so if the first letter is 'C' and 'C' is on the blackboard with 7 letters, then the first number is 7.
Take the four-digit code to the Service Tunnel and type it in at the Doppelghast's cell to free it, kill it, and grab the Severed Arm.
Interact with the Ray Gun Mark 2 display case in the Armory at the Supply Depot with the Severed Arm for a free Wonder Weapon.

Here's a quick breakdown of how to get the Ray Gun Mark 2-W:

Players will first need an Empty Canister, which can be acquired by shooting blue crystals in specific areas with the Ray Gun Mark 2:
- On the ceiling of the Service Tunnel
- Inside the Conservatory
- On the ceiling of the East Foyer
- Above the door to the Southwest Balcony
Place the Empty Canister at Shem's Henge
In the middle of Shem's Henge, get the Abomination to use its lightning breath on 3 rocks to make them glow, then get the Abomination to charge into the rocks to make them float.
Defend the portal that spawns in the middle of Shem's Henge once all 3 rocks are floating from Vermin.
Claim the Explosive Canister opposite Speed Cola and craft the Ray Gun Mark 2-W at the Supply Depot.

With the Ray Gun Mark 2-W acquired (or any Ray Gun Mark 2 upgrade) players can now begin the most important step, which involves getting dialogue from Richtofen. This can be achieved with the Ray Gun Mark 2-W through the following steps:

Pick up the Sconce from the Banquet Hall and place it on the west wall of the Grand Foyer.
Complete the Simon Says minigame with the 2 sconces to open up the Distillery.
Enter the Distillery and activate the Liminal Distillery by interacting with the computer by the portrait and getting kills with the Ray Gun Mark 2-W.
Enter into the Liminal Distillery via the blue portal and then head to the Study area in search of a small Bell item.
Place the Bell at the bar in the Overlook area and then use the Brain Rot Ammo Mod on a zombie and ring the bell so that it drops the Metal Hip Flask.
Head back into the Liminal Distillery and start the trial by interacting with the stone structure and killing the blue-shielded Elite Zombie with the Ray Gun Mark 2-W.

After following these steps, players will have successfully completed not just a part of the easter egg, but activated Richtofen's dialogue. Now, players can begin the process of obtaining the Wunderwaffe DG-2 without spinning the Mystery Box. Players can now travel to the Nursery, where underneath the bed will be a pile of clothes that players can shoot to make them disappear.

Once the clothes disappear, head to the East Balcony and shoot the glowing book found on a chair at the southwest wall. Doing so will see the book rise into the air, and players must shoot it as fast and as hard as they can, shooting through its defenses until it disappears. If players fail the step, then simply repeat it next round.

Players can now head to the Garden Pond, where, at the south-east corner, they can see a purple basketball. Shooting the basketball will see it fly into the air, and players must shoot it until it disappears, just like the book.

Now, head to the Grand Foyer, where players will find a glowing family photo to the left of Jugger-Nog. Shoot this, and then shoot the flying photo frame to make it dissipate. This has by far the most health and defenses, so it's advised to have a Tier 2 Pack-a-Punch Assault Rifle. If players were successful, head down the zipline in the Elevator Shaft and look up for some purple smoke, which can be shot to drop a free Wunderwaffe DG-2.

How to Get the Wunderwaffe DG-2 in Shattered Veil

The Wunderwaffe DG-2 is exclusive to Shattered Veil and can be obtained via the Mystery Box. So far, there have been no easter eggs that allow players to get a guaranteed version of the Wunderwaffe DG-2. While the Ray Gun Mk2 can be crafted in Shattered Veil, it seems that the Wunderwaffe DG-2 has been reduced to RNG, as it is acquired from the Mystery Box which is spun for 950 Essence, where the chance to acquire this weapon is extremely low considering how many weapons can be obtained from the Mystery Box, and how low the chance is for a Wonder Weapon. Players can increase their odds by using the Wunderbar! Ultra GobbleGum.

Is the Wunderwaffe DG-2 Any Good in Black Ops 6?

While it might be a tad annoying to obtain, the Wunderwaffe DG-2 is still a lot of fun to wield. The nostalgia is high with this weapon, considering its origins with Call of Duty: World at War in 2008, over 17 years ago. While the Wunderwaffe DG-2 has returned in previous Call of Duty Zombies titles, it’s still nice to see it, especially when it seems just as shockingly deadly as ever before.

The Wunderwaffe DG-2 holds 3 charges, which can be fired pretty rapidly thanks to Double Tap Root Beer. Each shot will electrify a zombie to hold them in place, and any nearby zombies will be caught in a chain lightning attack that will kill them all, making this a very powerful weapon indeed, but one with risky potential for its slow moveability. The Wunderwaffe can be Pack-a-Punched into the Wunderwaffe DG-3, which holds 6 charges, has an even faster ammo count, and chains zombies a lot easier, including the ability to stun and chain Amalgams and other special zombies to make them far less deadly than a player with a trigger-happy Wunderwaffe.
