The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is drawing ever closer, and while its initial reveal has received quite a bit of criticism, Treyarch seems to be hard at work to ensure the next installment in the franchise is a big one. With a co-op Campaign following directly from the events of Black Ops 2, a fast-paced Multiplayer experience, and a new chapter in the Zombies saga, there is definitely a lot to look forward to.

Of course, with Black Ops 7 releasing right after Black Ops 6, many questions have been raised about whether the two games will share content. While this was initially set to be the case for Season 1 of Black Ops 7, Treyarch has recently confirmed that a good chunk of Black Ops 6 content may end up being left behind.

Unsure of when you can play the Black Ops 7 Beta and how to gain entry? All that and more is covered in this guide.

What Content Will Carry Forward into Black Ops 7?

As of the time of writing, the content set to be carried forward into Black Ops 7 is fairly limited. Consumables like Double XP Tokens, Double Battle Pass XP Tokens, and Double Weapon XP Tokens, currently accessible in Black Ops 6, will carry over into Black Ops 7 on day one. This means players can save up their tokens in the current game and then use them at any point during Black Ops 7's lifecycle.

Black Ops 6 GobbleGums will also carry over to Black Ops 7 Zombies, which is definitely a plus for those who managed to stack up on rare GobbleGums like Perkaholics, Reign Drops, and Hidden Powers.

Just like with previous Call of Duty entries, any COD Points tied to a player’s account will also carry over, ready to be used in the Black Ops 7 Store from day one and onwards. While other Black Ops 6 content was originally set to carry forward into Black Ops 7 for the debut of Season 1, this decision has since been reconsidered by Treyarch.

Will Black Ops 6 Operator Skins & Weapons Carry Forward into Black Ops 7?

No, Black Ops 6 Operators and weapons will not carry over to Black Ops 7. This means any Blueprints and Operator Skins earned in Black Ops 6 cannot be used in Black Ops 7. Weapons tied to Black Ops 6, like the ABR A1 and the Jackal PDW, will also not be available in Black Ops 7.

However, there are a few exceptions. The Reznov Operator Skins tied to the Reznov Challenge Pack will be usable in both Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 for those who pre-order and unlock each skin between now and November 14. The New Orders Prestige Level 1000 Operator Skin for Samuels will also carry over to Black Ops 7.

As for cosmetics tied to the Black Ops 6 Zombies Crew, all those earned through completing the Main Easter Egg Quests will carry over to Black Ops 7. These include the following:

  • Trophy Collector Maya Operator Skin
  • Jackknife Hudson Operator Skin
  • PhDeadly Carver Operator Skin
  • Blood, Sweat, and Gears Grey Operator Skin

On the Warzone side of things, everything will remain unchanged. All Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 2, and Modern Warfare 3 content will still be usable in Warzone. Black Ops 7 weapons and Operators will also crossover into Warzone during the Black Ops 7 and Warzone integration at the launch of Season 1.
