Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is shaping up to be one of the biggest games in the series yet, bringing with it a roster of modes packed to the brim with content. While Multiplayer delivers fast-paced action and Campaign takes players into a four-player co-op experience, Black Ops 7 Zombies instead throws players into a terrifying journey set in the heart of the Dark Aether.
Ashes of the Damned serves as the launch map for Black Ops 7 Zombies, and it is the largest round-based Zombies map to date. While players may be jumping in and learning the ropes, those who make it to Vandorn Farm, whether through the main map or Vandorn Farm Survival, can actually get their hands on a free Ray Gun, even during the Beta. Here is how to snag one from Chompy in Black Ops 7 Zombies.
All Weapons in COD Black Ops 7
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has a whole arsenal of futuristic weapons to make use of. Here are all the confirmed weapons arriving in Black Ops 7.
How to Get a Free Ray Gun From Chompy on Vandorn Farm
Some eagle-eyed players may have already come across Chompy before. However, for those that don’t know, located on the south portion of Vandorn Farm, between the farmhouse and the barn, lies a trash can that goes by the name of Chompy. This trash can will periodically shake and, if players melee it, the lid of the can will open.
Once open, players can choose to feed Chompy either their weapon by pressing the interact button, or Lethal Equipment by tossing their Lethal inside. No matter what players offer, though, the rewards are almost always the same. Feeding Chompy a weapon or Lethal Equipment will cause it to spit out three rewards, which usually end up being Salvage.
However, with enough trial and error, Chompy will eventually drop a Ray Gun if you keep feeding it. Chompy can be fed three times per round, making Lethal Equipment the best choice if you’re trying to get a Ray Gun fast at Vandorn Farm. This is because Lethal Equipment is much easier to replenish, as it drops from zombies and other enemies, and also gets restored with a Max Ammo Power-Up.
It’s also worth noting that players can get more than one Ray Gun from Chompy. So, if you’re playing with friends, keep feeding Chompy to snag a free Ray Gun for every member of the squad. The chances of obtaining a Ray Gun from Chompy also seem to be much higher than spinning the Mystery Box, making it one of the best ways to grab the iconic Wonder Weapon outside of using GobbleGums.
