Xbox Game Pass subscribers can circle November 14 on their calendars, as that's the day Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be added to the service's Ultimate tier. When Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, one of the reasons was to secure more content for the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Not only are classic Activision Blizzard games being slowly added to Game Pass, but all the brand-new, day one releases from the company have been debuting on the Ultimate tier.
It didn't take long at all for Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard to pay off for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Thanks to the acquisition, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was a day one Game Pass game, giving subscribers one of the year's biggest new releases on the very day of its release. Every Call of Duty game moving forward is expected to be on Xbox Game Pass on day one, and that of course includes 2025's Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Xbox Game Pass Release Date

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 release date leaked ahead of time, but it has now been officially confirmed that the game will launch on November 14. That's a little later than expected, but it will hopefully be worth the wait. Black Ops 7 features a 4-player co-op campaign, round-based Zombies, Dead Ops Arcade, and of course, the franchise's tried-and-true multiplayer experience. Call of Duty's annual release schedule has been tiring for some fans, but being able to access the full game through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate may make even lapsed CoD players check it out come the November 14 launch.
Call of Duty fans don't have to wait until November 14 to try Black Ops 7 for themselves. Black Ops 7's open beta will have an early access period for Game Pass subscribers and those that pre-order the game starting October 2, while everyone will get to play starting October 5. The Black Ops 7 beta is expected to last until October 8.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will undoubtedly be one of the biggest day one Xbox Game Pass games to launch in all of 2025. It will cap off a year that has been full of nonstop noteworthy additions, with the first half of the year defined by smash hits like Blue Prince and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Looking ahead, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can look forward to games like Gears of War: Reloaded, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Ninja Gaiden 4, and The Outer Worlds. Clearly, the second half of 2025 is going to be just as big, if not bigger, than the first half of the year when it comes to Xbox Game Pass.
